I sit and wait. The glass of water is empty now. It shouldn't even be here in the first place but it is anyways. A light yawn leaves my mouth. I grab the phone out of my bag. Messages from my best friends. The group chat shows me 101 unread messages. They wouldn't be unread if he had fucking shown up. I believe one could have many reasons to be late but not telling the person waiting for you is literally sad.
"Sophia Lee?" a voice called.
I closed my eyes to hide my frustration before looking up and when I finally looked, I was amazed. The gorgeous man stood in front of me. Tall, broad shoulders, good body and a perfect smile yet I could still feel the dark aura.
"Ryan Harding?" I didn't know whether I was asking him or myself. I stood up.
"I'm sorry." He started taking off his trench coat. "I got stuck."
"It's- It's alright." I replied sitting down as he did.
"I feel so bad for letting you wait and that even for a whole hour." his brown eyes looked at me.
"It's fine but can we please order something to eat?" I scanned the menu on the table.
"Yes, of course." his hand gave me the menu.
My eyes widened. The prices are literally more expensive than my whole existence. Even the most cheap option costs 109 bucks.
"Have you decided?" I looked at Ryan.
"I'll be back in just a minute." I answered while grabbing my bag and coat.
"Sure." the man started getting suspicious.
As soon as I was finally out of that room, I walked towards the bar near the entrance. I put on my coat before finally walking out there and running away.
"Sophia! Miss Lee!" I turned around to see Ryan. I closed my eyes. How embarrassing is this even?
"I'm sorry. It's not you that I'm running away from but have you seen the ridiculous price? 109 for some pasta?" I explained.
"I own the restaurant, Miss Lee. And I never asked you to pay, did I?" The man had his arms folded in front of his chest.
I just stared at him and I did it so shamelessly. "I- I didn't know."
"Now that you know, I hope you'd still be happy to join me." Ugh. I hated this.
"I guess." I couldn't say no for whatever reason.
I feel so embarrassed. One of his hands moves and shows me the direction I just tried to escape. My cheeks turn red when I notice him following me. Ryan slides the chair and makes me sit. "I'll be back." he throws me the prettiest smile that I've ever seen.
I just sit there like a doll. Unable to move or say anything.
"A plate of pasta." I look up at him to see him holding two huge plates of pasta.
"Thank you." I answer when he places mine in front of me. I sense my mouth watering.
Ryan sits in front of me when our drinks are finally on the table.
"Tell me something about yourself." I look at my pasta before finally taking a bite.
"I am 27 years old. Own most of everything in this city." he replies. I try not to choke at his statement.
"So you're a workaholic?" I ask.
"You could say so."
"So how come you're on a date?" I take another bite. His head moves closer.
"You looked so drop-dead-gorgeous in that photo of yours. I couldn't believe someone could actually look this good and now that you're finally in front of me I actually believe it." he smirks. My cheeks flush red. "I need to use the restroom." I reply before walking away.

The door swings open and I see myself looking like a whole ass tomato. My phone turns on with just a tap. "Ellie, Mia. This is not real." I said on the call.
"Tell us." I could hear both of them say that at the same time.
"He's so handsome." I replied.
"We know, Girl, now relax."
After around two minutes I finally cut the call.
"I'm truly sorry for keeping you waiting for me." I take my seat.
The rest goes perfectly. Funny, romantic and everything else. Now we were walking in the park. "I had the most perfect dinner." I complimented while keeping my eyes on the trees.
A sound rings my ear and I feel myself losing my balance. Ryan helps me stand but makes me sit on the bench nearby.
"Your heel. It broke." he looks up at me as he kneels down in front of me. "You won't be able to go home like this."
"I'll be fine." My attempt to stand up is interrupted as he picks me up.
"Hold onto me unless you would like to fall down." my hands slide around his neck as I hear him say that. I could feel his heart beating as fast as a train.
"What's with this quick heartbeat?" I question.
I don't get an answer this time I instead sense him looking right at me. Right through me.
No questions or answers were present during the car ride. It stopped in front of my apartment. "I'll go by myself from here. Thank you for the drive and I'm sorry for how chaotic your day has been because of me." As soon as I open the door, I'm hit with a question I've wanted to hear.
"When will I see you again, Sophia?" I bite my lower lip before finally answering with a "Soon. And my number is 0183-" I have no idea whether he heard the rest but if luck's on his side, he definitely did.
I open the door of my apartment and turn on the lights. Letting myself fall on the sofa, I smile. Something about him makes me feel like I'm literally in a fairytale.
