I wonder how I look in your eyes

Jonathan shook his drink slowly, watching the liquid move from side to side. Not because he was bored, in fact he was having a awesome time, but it was fun for him to do that thing in which his friends came back, since they had gone to a store to look for more alcohol and he decided to stay and make sure that no one broke anything in Micaela's house. —something he didn't do, nor did he intend to do. They knew very well that he probably wouldn't take care of the house a damn, but they wanted to make sure that, at the very least, it didn't end up on fire. In any case, the girl's parents didn't pay much attention to how their house looked after their daughters' "little" parties, even if it was a complete chaos or one or two papers on the floor, the youngest would be in charge of cleaning up all.

The brunette's eyes flitted around the huge room, trying to see if he would have to stop someone from breaking a wall or something, but on his way, his eyes met a peculiar figure that his memory seemed to faintly remember. He tried to remember if it was a co-worker of his or perhaps a former high school (or primary school) classmate but nothing came to his mind. Out of frustration, he approached that person with a little hesitation, and leaned his body against the wall where the opposite was.

"Hi..." Jonathan tried to encourage a conversation.

"I'm not a chick... just in case" the unknown answered, taking a sip of his drink.

The boy moved his head back abruptly and blinked repeatedly quickly. What? God, for a moment he thought that guy was a woman... so maybe he didn't know him, or do he?... this was more confusing than what it supposed to be...

"Wha-? Uh... sorry, you got me confused, you look quite feminine".

Jonathan tried to excuse himself, but the boy made a strange grimace frowning, and then left a giggle.

"I know. Hello" he added when he notice his lack of respect by not returning the greeting.

He extended his hand toward Jonathan for a handshake. Jonathan was paralyzed for a few moments, but then he tightened his grip, moving his hand up and down.

"Um... Do you have a name?".

What an idiot.

"Yeah, it would be weird if I didn't. I'm Luke".

"Oh... oh! Well, that's a cool name... I'm Jonathan, Jonathan Lucheretti. So you live here in Buenos Aires?" he said, trying not to say, "are you from here?" since Luke was pretty Asian looking... and I don't know, maybe it was racist or something.

"Yes, I've lived here since I was 12. I'm from South Korea. You? Do you live here?"

"Ha, ha! No, I'm not from this city, but I am from the province of Buenos Aires. I'm from Luján... that place where the Basilica is, you know it?".

"What?! Wait, how do you come to the university from Luján? Do you travel 1 hour EVERY day just to study?".

Oh, it was from college.

—Uh, yeah. The thing is that when my family came to Argentina they went to Luján because they were very religious, and well... I don't have the money to buy a house here. Or to pay rent. The university cost is all the money my mom gives me and then I work to eat and that.

—Oh, how sad it must be to be po-...

Some screams coming from the front door interrupted Luke's words —which were almost inaudible due to the loud music; preventing him from finishing his comment.

—TURN UP THE MUSIC, DUDE!!! —Santiago shouted aggressively, who seemed excited to return to the party.

The noise of "Otra Noche" by Los Ángeles Azules and Nicki Nicole stunned both of their ears, but Jonathan seemed more integrated into the party. Or at least that's what Luke thought, because he threw himself towards Santiago as soon as he arrived and started talking to Micaela's group. Nothing strange, since he already knew that they were his friends.

"What an jerk..." he whispered.
