They feed me. Disgusting wet bread that might be poisoned, but food. They give me a bed- a thin mattress with a thin blanket and no pillow- but a bed. They give showers- well, I take it alone- cold and frozen showers, but showers.

I throw my book against the wall. My fingers tingle. Over time I've developed powers. I've been here for a month now. Eating, showering, sleeping, and trying out my powers. I wave my hand and the book flies to me. I flick my wrist and it catches fire.

Good, I think, replace another. While I'm asleep so I can't hurt you. As always.

Ive been here for days now. Same thing happened, I try to read, I sing a little (I generally think my voice has gotten better but I don't know since I'm alone), I play with my hair while looking at my reflection. Today, my hair is in a simple French braid. I can't do much without a brush or hair ties. I like how the blue and green twist in and out of my hair.

A few moments later, I hear a voice

"You have a visitor. " the intercom says. "And you'll be happy to see him."

I jump up at the steaming sound of the large metal door with no handle. I flick my wrist and a simple ball of fire appears over my palm. The door opens just enough, and a mans body is thrown in,  and then the door closes.

I run to him and jump onto his back. He topples to the ground, and a flash of black hair passes. I gasp, and drop my hands.

"Oh god."
