* ALEX'S POINT OF VIEW*

After a long day of school and soccer practice as everyone started heading home, I decided to go for a run around the field just to clear my head. There's so much going on and many decisions to make, Cara was all I think about. How cold she has been towards me but yet she reveals part of her she did not want people to see. I don't understand what's keep her from being like what we used to be, I don't understand at all. After I ran 2 laps, I'm soaked with my own sweat and it would be horrible to go home like this. As I was walking to the boys' locker room, two people came out of no where and rushed ahead of me. Sasha dragged Jeff's hand as she was walking as quick she can, "Hurry up, Jeff!" she said half shouting because he couldn't keep up with her pace.

"You have got to slow down, Sasha, what's your problem," Jeff shouted back at her. I was too tired to even see them, I stopped at a water fountain to catch my breath and they disappeared. After a while, I got up and walked to the boys' locker room. As I was about to push the door open, I hear the same two voices I heard before,

"Here's the thing, I can't do this anymore," the girl's voice blurted out, I thought to myself that, that's Sasha's voice

"Wh-What do you mean you can't?" came Jeff's voice as he stuttered.

"I can't do this, I just can't help you anymore,"

"But we made a deal, no, yo-you can't"

"I'm sorry, but I have to,"

"It's because of him isn't it, you like him don't you, the way you stare at him,"

I can't believe I'm eavesdropping but I couldn't pull or force myself to walk away. I wanted to know, I wanted to know more, why isn't Jeff begging her to stay, but instead he brought up their 'deal'? What was the deal? Who is 'him' ? Endless questions came to my mind, even though it has nothing to do with me, I got scared that it might involve Cara. I needed to know, I needed to find out, in order to protect her. I move in closer to the door but my foot accidentally kicked the door softly and there voices started to fade away, I hear the sound their footsteps coming closer and closer to the door. I ran to the nearest corner that I could possibly run to. I kept on running even though they are far from me. I ran to my bike, got the engine started and drove away. I stopped my bike engine in front of my house, but I didn't move. I sat on my bike and stared out into the space, right into Cara's house. I lifted my eyes to look up the the second floor of her house, I could see her reflection through the curtains in her room. Even from her reflection, she looks so beautiful.

*CARA'S POINT OF VIEW*

I've been staring down at my math textbook for over an hour, trying to figure out how to do it but my mind is somewhere else. I'm not quite sure what or who I'm thinking of but the sound of a loud engine made me look over my window. Through my light color curtain, I looked down and found Alex sitting helplessly on his bike. I wasn't sure if he was staring up into my room or was he just spacing out. I'm just really confused about how I really feel, towards everyone in general. Lately, Alex came across my mind several times through out the day, and it's so hard to understand what I really feel. With Sasha, I feel like she has nothing against Alex at all but there's something about her that tells me that is so against Alex and I together.

*Beeep*, I looked over at my phone which was vibrating.

"Wanna go for a walk? :)", reads the text, unbelievably it's from Alex.

I walked over to my balcony, and shouted down at him, "What do you want, Thompson?"

"How about a friendly walk?", replied Alex as he pitched his eyes smaller because of the light.

"I don't like walking," half wanting to go but half knowing I shouldn't

"I'll let you sit in the back of my bike while I drive then," Alex said, looking hopeful.

"I'll only go if you teach me how to drive that thing," I replied, with a little smile.

Alex broke into a huge smile, "Give me 5 minutes?" asked Alex as he looked down at his soccer uniform, "I smell horrible"

"Hurry up before I change my mind!" I said along with my laugh, "He's adorable," I said to myself  while I shook my head getting rid of the thought but I find guys who are honest the best ones.

I closed my textbook and took the time to put on my perfume and adjusted my shirt and jeans. After a long 3 minutes of staring at myself in the mirror, I put my phone back down on my bed, leaving everything behind and walked down to Alex who managed to get into his house and showered in less than 10 minutes, he smiled happily as he leaned against his bike holding two helmets in this hands.

"Don't tell me I have to wear that," I complained pointing to one of the helmets he's holding.

"C'mon let me put it on for you," Alex said as he's approaching me and uncontrollably I was walking toward him as well. He held the helmet up ready to put in on me, and his light brown eyes met mine. I tried to hide away all my feelings but yet I felt that he could see right through me, read into my every little thoughts. I looked away, grabbed the helmet from his hand, "I can put it on myself, you know," I said to him, but his gaze did not move away from mine. I turned around and put on the helmet as I hopped onto his bike, "So tell me, how does this work," I asked, avoiding the awkwardness.

"So, you hold the two handles as you start the engine, make sure to slowly twist the engine," explained Alex. I gave him an obvious confused face. Alex let out a slight smile and without saying a word he hopped on the bike sitting behind me.. Putting both his legs down to the ground for balance.

"Place your hands right here," said Alex, holding both my hands and place them on the handles. "Slowly twist them toward yourself, like this," Alex lifted both his legs from the ground and without letting of his hands that were on top of mine, his gently twisted the handles toward us and the engine started as the bike started to move forward. Riding a bike has always been on my bucket list, on my top ten things to do before I die. I wanted to feel the life could be edgy, risky, dangerous but fun at the same time. Alex slowly let go of my hands, and it was just me controlling this bike. I felt scared and insecure but I know that if something goes wrong, Alex is there, literally there, behind me, to protect me. I know that I could trust him. "It's getting dark," I blurted out, interrupting the silentness.

"We should make a turn here then," whispered Alex into my ears.

"Can you drive back?" I asked while I stopped the bike as I fear the darkness that was approaching us. I hopped down the bike and took Alex's place, while he took mine. Before he started the engine again, he reached for both my hands and he placed them aroud his waist, "Hold on tight!' Alex said playfully.

I held on to him, leaning forward and resting my head on his back.  At that moment, I didn't care who would see us together, I didn't care about my popularity at all.  I couldn't feel any safer than this, and everything felt so right. The bike pulled to a stop, I looked up to find the similar streets to the right was the house of my own and to the left of his. I got off his bike and Alex left his bike parked in front of his garage. He took off his helmet and put it on the ground, I tried to take mine off but it was stuck and Alex moved toward me to  fixed the lock of the helmet. He took it off and placed it on the ground next to his and after he faced me, eyes to eyes. His eyes filled with unspoken words and thoughts meanwhile my eyes told him that I'm filled with confusions and indecisive thoughts. We stared at each other without letting a word escape our mouths, Alex started to move in closer and closer, biting his lips while looking at mine. I closed my eyes, sensing and feeling both his body and face closer to mine.

"CARA!" An aggressive voice interrupted us before our lips touched, I jumped and quickly backed myself away from Alex. I looked up to find Sasha, who stood there in the middle of the streets, between Alex's house and mine, staring at us.
