"Mayura, take his ring. Now!" exclaimed Hawk Moth as he cackled at the struggling cat.

Mayura grinned evilly before sliding the black cat ring from his finger.

"No... no! Ladybug, HELP!"

"Kinda busy, Cat!" yelled Ladybug in response as she used her yoyo to capture Hawk Moth.

"I really think you need to see this, M'ilady!"

Ladybug swivelled her head for a brief moment, only to see Cat Noir slowly transform back.

"Cat Noir! Nooo!"

Ladybug took her eyes off Hawk Moth and sprinted towards Mayura and Cat Noir.

"You can resist, Cat!" Ladybug reassured you, even though in her mind, she knew very well that he couldn't.

Cat Noir tossed and turned in Mayura's grasp, before the evil supervillain pulled out a curious injection from her blue robe's pocket.

"WHAT... IS THAT?" Cat Noir shouted.

"Only a little something to make you feel slightly drowsy, that's all," Mayura chuckled calmly. "Hawk Moth, I'm using it."

"Be careful, don't completely injure the child behind the mask," Hawk Moth instructed. "We need him."

Cat Noir grunted and grumbled "Let me go, you horrible people!"

It was no use. By the time that Ladybug had reached the two, his costume was disappearing.

"Cat..."

Cat Noir gave in and stopped resisting.

"Perfect. We didn't even need to use injections," said Mayura triumphantly.

"Goodbye, M'ilady..." Cat Noir said weakly. He was tired after resisting for so long. "This is the last time you'll see me as Cat Noir. From now on, you will know me as I am in real life."

"No, Cat Noir... I'm not ready..."

It was no use. Cat Noir's black costume faded. He had transformed back... into Adrien Agreste.

The kwami Plagg fell into Adrien's hands, his eyes flickering.

Adrien looked up from Plagg to see Ladybug's mortified face.

"Hello, M'ilady."

"A-A... A-Adrien..."

Ladybug collapsed to her knees.

Mayura's eyes widened in shock as she witnessed the teenage boy struggling in his arms.

"A-ADRIEN?" asked Mayura.

"Hey... how do you know my name?" Adrien was in shock. "Oh, why does it matter anyway..."

"I... You're that famous model, aren't you? Everybody k-knows who y-you are..."

Mayura couldn't risk revealing her secret identity as 'Nathalie', Adrien's female guardian.

Mayura contacted Hawk Moth on her PeacockPhone. "Hawk Moth... Cat Noir is..."

Mayura let Adrien go. He got up on his feet, wobbling slightly.

"Well, Ladybug, it was a pleasure knowing you," said Adrien, a tear rolling down his face.

Mayura sneaked up behind Ladybug and stabbed her with the needle, causing the red superhero to collapse onto the ground.

"Ladybug!" exclaimed Adrien. "Mayura, you said 'a little drowsy'!"

She removed Ladybug's earrings, before quickly dashing away. Without his superpowers, Adrien was powerless against Mayura, and he certainly couldn't chase after her.

Ladybug transformed back, the light blinding Adrien.

"Adrien, i-it's me..."

"Marinette?"

Five hours earlier...

"Marinette!" screamed Alya as she ran up the front entrance stairs of Collège Françoise Dupont.

"Alya!" Marinette said in response.

"Guess what, Gurl?" squeaked Alya.

"What?"

"I'm SO close to discovering the true identity of Ladybug. I posted this thing on the LadyBlog—"

"Alya!" Marinette grunted. "I thought we agreed to stop pursuing this. Ladybug's identity must be kept a secret - you of all people should know that."

"Yeah, I know..." Alya kicked the floor in disappointment, before straightening her glasses. "Hey, gurl, every time the subject of Ladybug comes up—"

"Alya..."

"You seem pretty... defensive. Is there something I should know?" Alya elbowed Marinette. "Are you..." she got closer and whispered, "Ladybug? Marinette?"

"What? Who? Me?"

"You're literally the only person I know called Marinette."

"Oh, HA HA! Silly me!" Marinette started flapping her arms around and danced like a chicken, getting all nervous. "I'm Marinette! Hi, Alya, it's me, Marinette! That's me! I'm Marinette! What a dope I am! My name—"

"Gurl, if you say 'I'm Marinette!' one more time, I'll—"

Marinette was still dancing and waffling on. "Besides, there's NO WAY I could be someone as skilful as Ladybug! I am SUCH a klutz always tripping over EVERYTHING—"

"Hmm... that's true."

"Phew!" Marinette sighed in relief.

She flapped her arms in Ms. Mendeleev's face, which caused all the liquid from the beaker she was carrying to spill all over Marinette.

"Marinette Dupain Cheng!" yelled Ms. Mendeleev.

Marinette's hair exploded into a puff of green smoke, messing up her look.
