𝐀 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭

A baby's cry echoed throughout the house, making Y/n sigh and for Bakugou to groan as they didn't even get a blink of sleep all this time. It's been a few months since their baby was born and they've both been struggling as they had to keep the birth a secret, especially since Bakugou is a top hero that everybody knows about.

"Katsuki, it's your turn now.." she mumbled lightly, looking at the television flashing in front of them. It seems like they forgot to turn it off while taking care of the baby.

"Sure, but I have to go to work soon"

"I.. I know that," Bakugou gave his wife a small peck on the lips before getting up and went to where their baby laid on, weeping and bawling their eyes out.

Y/n didn't move an inch, watching her husband lull the baby in his arms. Though she's content with her life as of now, does it always have to be this way? Keeping their family, a secret. Y/n's family didn't even know that she still existed, so as the baby, Bakugou's family and even closest of his friends had no clue about his new life as a husband and as a father.

She didn't want to pry his decision, it was for the greater good anyway.

The ash-blonde got out of the room – his fatigue visible but managed to put the baby back to sleep like he didn't need it himself. "I need to get ready for work, just call me when you need me"

"Yes," she weakly smiled at him, and Bakugou suddenly felt his heart melt by the sight of her – like it always does.

He then went to the bathroom with the baby still asleep on the crib, your eyes felt heavy but also found it hard to go to sleep. You grabbed the remote beside you and changed the channel, again, and again.

'Nothing here is interesting.. I don't want to watch cocomelon either' Y/n had her eyebrows furrowed until a reporter showed up on the television, looking fierce and their eyes sent daggers on the opposite side of the screen, it was as if they were directed straight at her.

"The villain known as Phantom had escaped prison for almost a year, and as of this week they gruesomely attacked a hero and caused many casualties for the civilians. Witness says that they were last seen in the city of Musutafu, if you know anything about their whereabouts.. report it to a hero or to the police immediately. Phantom is definitely a dangerous criminal that unfortunately remains free. That is all, have a good day"

Y/n's eyes widened at the screen; cold sweat had trickled from her forehead to her neck as she gulped in nervousness. Her e/c-eyes looked at the baby sleeping so peacefully, she couldn't help but get worried.

Bakugou has gotten out of the shower and is now wearing his hero costume, except for his gauntlets. He says that he doesn't want to wear them inside the house in case your child accidentally plays around it, and he doesn't want that. His crimson eyes saw your slightly panicked figure, so he walked towards you and cupped your face.

"Y/n, something wrong?" He asked in a worried voice.

"The villain.. I saw them on the news. I thought you said to the media that you already killed them a year ago"

"As much as I wanted to, they won't stop pestering me, us, and the whole fucking country. To protect you and the baby, I need to fight villains, even Phantom – so I have to fight, I'm pretty sure you know that, right?"

"Yes, and I also know that you're strong, Katsuki." A gentle smile between them is the only thing that makes it better. Bakugou can't help but chuckle as he pulls her into a kiss once again, it feels like it's never enough no matter how much his lips kiss hers, but he doesn't want to get into another baby situation again, so..
