The Avengers Mates

Prologue

Mia and Selena met first at a beach party when they were 15. But what they didn't know that on the same day, one of their other soulmates Freya Prince's parents were killed and when she got home after having a sleepover with her best friend, she was shocked when she saw her parent's dead bodies. She spent a few minutes crying over their death before noticing a letter in her mother's pocket making her take it out and read it.

Dear Trixie,

My sweet daughter, by the time you get this letter we'd be dead. Me and your father are both sorry for leaving you all alone in this cruel world. But now, I'm going to tell you the true reason why we are dead. And that reason is HYDRA. HYDRA killed us but only because we ran away and betrayed them. You see we were undercover agents and this only happened when you were just a month old when your father and I realized that you had some unique abilities. We were afraid that HYDRA would use you so we ran away and seeked help from a man named Nicholas Fury. He was our director and your God father. I want you to go to him right now. And give him this letter, so he understands what happened. Here is his personal contact number. ***********

After reading the letter, Freya broke down crying even more, forgetting that all her soulmates can feel her pain, before she managed to take control of her emotions and slowly stands up. She quickly walks to her room and packs all her things. It takes her 20 minutes to pack all her things before she makes her way to her parents with her 3 suitcases and an empty backpack. She makes her way towards the bedside and picks up a picture of the three of them on her birthday which was just last week making her smile sadly before she places it into her backpack, and walks towards her parents dressing room. She takes most of her mom's precious jewelry she knew that she'd want her to have before she grabs her father's hoodies that she would sometimes steal from him.

She then places them all into her backpack before leaving their room and walking back to her parents corpse." I promise I will get revenge on Hydra.'' Freya promises to her parents dead bodies before gently taking her dad's watch for memory and places it into her backpack along with the letter they wrote. Soon she got her phone out and called the police crying uncontrollably. After the phone call she places her suitcases and backpacks in the back of her dressing room before she just sits on the floor facing her parents bodies.

Soon enough, the police arrives and quickly look at her parent's dead bodies before she notices a female police walking towards her." Freya sweetheart. I'm going to have to ask you some questions. Is it ok if we do it at the police station?'' The lady asks and Freya looks at her parent's bodies again before nodding in agreement making the police woman smile gently at her before she helps her stand up and takes her out to her car. The full 15 minutes drive was filled with silence.

As they walked into the police station and they were in the woman's office, Freya sat down and just stared blankly at the wall making the woman sigh but she slowly begins to question her. After a whole hour of Freya answering the woman's question, she was finally allowed to go." Freya, since it's stated in your parents will, that you are to be emancipation if they ever die when your under 18. So, you are free to live by yourself but I would like to request that you live with an adult who can take care of you for the first few months before you live on your own.'' The woman says making Freya nod before she sighs and looks straight into the woman's eyes.

" Can I go now?'' She asks and the woman nods allowing her to leave the police station and walk back to her house where she sees the police searching the house but stops when they see her." I'm just going to pack my belongings.'' Freya says to an officer making him nod before allowing her to access her room. She goes into her dressing room and grabs her suitcases and backpack before she walks out and looks around. She picks all of her framed photos of her parents and herself before placing them into her backpack. She waits for a couple of minutes to regain control of herself before she walks out of her room and head straight for the exit.

She takes her phone out and dials Nicholas Fury's number. As he answers the phone, she immediately starts talking. Telling him what happened to her parents while he calmly listened on the other side of the phone." Can you give me your location Freya? I'll send someone to pick you up.'' He says making Freya nod before sending him her location. For the next 20 minutes she waits there until a car get pulls over in front of her and a woman with short hair exits the car and walks towards her.

" Freya Prince.'' The woman calls out and she nods before walking over to her." I'm Maria Hills. Director Fury sent me to pick you so shall we.'' Maria Hills says and Freya looks at her cautiously before deciding she's not a threat. She just nods and follow Maria to the car, she sits in the front passenger seat and just sit there looking out of the window and Maria drives off. The car ride is filled with silence but she could feel Maria's eyes on her.

By the time they reached their destination Freya was surprised as she was expecting to go to a house not a building but still got out of the car. She followed Maria into the building  and looked around while still continuing to follow Maria to the elevator. As they both entered the elevator, Freya saw Maria pull out a card and had it scan before pressing a button.

A couple of minutes later, the elevator doors finally open and they both step out. Maria leads Freya to an office but quickly stops and looks at Freya." Wait here for a moment before I call you in.'' Maria says before knocking on the door and they could hear a loud 'come in' and that's enough for Maria to enter. As Freya was outside waiting, she looked around and see that the hallway looks practically blank. She stopped looking around when she heard Maria come back out," You can go in.'' She says and Freya nods before walking into the office to see a man wearing an eye patch.

She presumes that he must be Nicholas Fury." Freya, please sit down. I'm sorry to hear about your parents.'' Fury says and Freya look at his eyes and see some sympathy in his eyes which makes her nod and sit down." Who's HYDRA?'' The moment that question slipped out of her mouth, she could see Fury eyes widen in shock." Where did you hear that name?'' He asked and Freya takes a deep breath before taking the letter out of her backpack and hands it to him. When he finishes reading the letter, he sighs deeply before looking up at her." Get ready. Your whole life is about to change.'' Fury says and Freya nods without hesitation making Nick smile at her.

From that day on, Freya buried the kind hearted girl deep within her and became cold towards everyone except for Maria Hill, Phil Coulson and of course her godfather, Nicholas Joseph Fury. She began training and practiced using her powers which she already knew about, making it easier for her to control it better. She was allowed to go on missions when she turned 17 but only with some other agents as back up. But once she turned 18, Nicholas allowed her to go on mission on her own.

And so that's how The Phoenix was born.
