Hearts That Thaw The Snow

Hello, this is a little poem that was inspired by the story Two Winter Angels. Thank you to galacticturtle for asking me to post this, so, yeah! Hope you enjoy!!

It was winter when I saw her,
Her black scarf dancing
The snow falling gently around her.
Her brown, wavy locks of hair
Framed her beautiful face
As she stood there, surrounded by white.

She smiled at me
And I smiled back, not k ow who she was.
Yet, at the same time, I knew her.
She was a angel.

The cold snow stopped falling,
As she came, hugged me and said,
"A long time it has been,
My friend! How are you today?"
We smiled at each other,
Knowing the joke all too well.

We laughed and laughed together,
Laughing away years of pain,
Of solitary existence,
Of loneliness and fear.
The world was better now
That we were together again,
As friends

How was it? Comment what you thought when you read it. It was my first time writing a poem, and I wrote it in under 5 minutes. Please give me some feedback. Thank you
