Han Jisung walked into his cousin's bedroom, fiddling with his hands and biting his lip.
"Jisungie!" Jisung's cousin, Hwang Hyunjin, said happily, a smile spreading onto his face.
"Hey, Jinnie..." Jisung said quietly, sitting on his cousin's bed.
"What's wrong?" Hyunjin asked, looking down at Jisung, worry etched onto his beautiful face.
"I..." Jisung paused. "Do you promise not to hate me?"
"Of course!" Hyunjin said immediately. "I could never hate you!"
"I'm..." Jisung took a breath and held back tears as he looked down at his lap. "Jinnie, I'm gay."
There was a moment of silence, then Jisung burst into tears. Hyunjin immediately hugged Jisung and scooped him into his arms. "Shhh, don't cry..." Hyunjin said softly. "If you're gay, that's ok..."
"B-but, you're homophobic, why do you accept me?" Jisung asked, clinging onto Hyunjin.
"I-I..." Hyunjin paused. "I promised you when we were nine that I would be with you forever. I'm allowed to like one gay, right? No one except you."
Jisung clung onto Hyunjin tighter, as if he'd disappear any second. "I love you, I'm sorry for doubting you."
"No problem and I love you, too, but why are you telling me now?" Hyunjin asked, kissing Jisung's forehead and rubbing circles into Jisung's shoulder with his thumb.
"I-I... My mum told me that because she was sick of my dad hurting us, she was sending me to school with you..." Jisung said quietly, feeling like he was going to start crying again.
"Well, that's good, isn't it?" Hyunjin said, happily. "Your dad can't hurt you anymore."
"Yeah..." Jisung said. "Hey, that guy you introduced to me last summer, Felix? Is he still going to your school?"
"Your twin? Yeah," Hyunjin says, "It took a month to make him stop talking about you. It's like he's found his soulmate."
Jisung giggles, wiping his tears. "I liked him..."
Hyunjin raises his eyebrows suggestively.
"Not like that!" Jisung says, giggling and blushing. "I liked him as a friend!"
Hyunjin laughs and pokes Jisung's cheeks. "Hey, Jisungie, why're you blushing? Why're you blushing?"
"Jinnie!"
