Harley Quinn woke with a start. She didn't know where she was. All she remember was standing on the rooftop with Batman after he had saved her from the fall. Then he had sprayed her with some gas that caused her to fall asleep. That's the last thing she remembered. She looked around and by the looks of it she was in a cave. There was bats flying around and moss and dripping water clung to the walls. However, what really stood out was the giant computer, the array of costumes on display, and the lot with dozens of cars. Upon further gazing, she saw to the side some sort of trophy collection. There was dozens of items from Gotham's most insane and deadliest crinimals, even from the Joker himself. It was pretty obvious that she was in the Batcave. "I'm sorry I had to use knock-out gas on you Harley." Batman said as he came out of the shadows like some dark specter. Harley would never get used to that. "I had to be careful, just in case you ran back to Joker." He said as he looked at her. "So why didn't you take me back to Arkham?" Harley questioned him confused. "You're not safe there anymore Harley." Batman answered.
"Can we talk? I need to tell you something really important." She stated as she stood up. Batman looked at Harley. "What is it that you want to talk about?" He asked her. "I know who is underneath the mask, B-man. I can't believe that I didn't figure it out sooner." She said softly. Over the years, she noticed similar features about Bruce Wayne and Batman both physically and he was the only person who could afford all the gadgets that Batman uses. So she concluded that Batman was indeed Bruce Wayne. Of course she never revealed his identity to Joker. "You know?" Batman asked her immediately on edge. "Of course I know. I'm not that oblivious. I have a PHD." Harley said as she looked at him. "I also need you to know that I haven't told anyone and I won't. But I need you to do something for me." Harley said looking at him. "What do you want?" Batman asked. "You. I want you, Bruce." She whispered. "I have come to the realization that it's always been you who has cared about me. Hell you've saved my life so many times from Jokers many plots to kill me. I just wanted to thank you." Harley said as she stood up and walked over to him. She leaned up and kissed him gently on the cheek. "Harley, I don't know what to say." Batman said as he looked at her. "You don't have to say anything." She said softly as she looked up at him. She gently removed his mask and ran her fingers through his hair. "I'll take your secret to my grave." She said. "Thank you, Harley. I appreciate it." Bruce said looking into her eyes. She smiled softly at him.
"Joker will be out looking for you, and since he knows we both have feelings for each other he may use that against me. I cannot let you be brought to harm." He said looking at her. After that statement Harley could feel herself blushing. Bruce just admitted he had feelings for her. Sure it wasn't exactly what she wanted to hear, she would rather hear those three famous words any girl would die for, but it's a start. "So you brought me back to the legendary Batcave then huh B-man." Harley said changing the subject, casting her gaze around the place. "Indeed. Until the Joker is behind bars you'll be staying with me." Bruce said as he looked at her. "Well is there like a bedroom around here or do you just sleep upside down like a vampire?" Harley joked, flashing the Dark Knight a playful grin. "No I sleep in beds just like everyone else." Bruce laughed, which shocked Harley. "I love your laugh, you should do it more often." Harley said as she had never heard the man laugh before. The Lord knows the Joker had tried countless times to make the Caped Crusader do so. He made her swell up with pride at being the one to finally make Bruce smile and laugh. "Come with me Harley. I have a bedroom being prepared upstairs for you." Batman said, and turned and started walking away from her. Harley wasn't really sleepy but she followed him anyway. "However until it's finished you can change over there." He said pointing to his spare bed. It was by the computers, set up against the wall with a space heater in front of it and multiple blankets. On the other side was a pillow and a change of clothes. Harley got dressed and smiled as she looked down at herself. She was wearing a red and black dress and black and red shorts. She took out her ponytails and let her hair down. "Wow, you look amazing. Like you are going to a gala." He stated. "Thank you, Brucey." She said happily.
