(Y/N's POV) (Sunday)

It's been only a week and I gotten a hold of my telekinesis, but that's mainly it. As I put on my kimono, I had made a small shelf for my two family photos, mainly my mom and dad. Lighting my vanilla and berry inscents, I fanned myself with the scent. Closing my eyes, I began to think. Chichi [1], Sofu, please be safe....

"Y/N? I-," I didn't reply, but regardless, my door slid open. "Mind if I sit with you?" It was Raven.

"No. Make yourself comfortable,"

"So you do this every Sunday?"

"It's Japanese tradition. My dad isn't dead, but he's in a drug-induced coma because he was almost killed in a shooting. My mom was long passed, her death was at sea. When they found her, she died of starvation. Her sister, Marie, took me in." Odd, I never openly talked to anyone (not even Aunt Marie) about my past. Not even on my Sundays.

"Sounds like it was pretty rough; yet you are really optimistic. That's really hard to do," I laughed dryly.

"No, I can't always hold on to the past, so that's why,"

"Well, you ready to start training?"

"Yeah." For some weird reason, I could make my water become fire, ice, and the earth itself. The alarm went off, and my ears twitched. Wait, ears? Going to feel my ears, I felt fur?!

"N-nani?! My ears!" I exclaimed. My butt was feeling weird, as a tail started coming out.

"Y/N!" Raven exclaims, shocked as I was. Robin comes in, telling us it was the hive.

"Hey, I need to go. I'll catch up you guys at the tower," I said ignoring the others. I need answers, and only Oba Marī[2] had them. I dialled her cell, hoping she would pick up.

"Oba Marī, it's Y/N. Ukagai-"But I was cut off.

"OBAMARIE!!!" I nearly yelled.

"Nan desh ō ka [11]" I sighed.

"I could....make my mizu [12] become fire, ice, and earth. Then I suddenly grew mimi [13] neko [14] and a neko tail!? Why?!" The line went silent for a while. I could hear soft mumbling from the other end of the line.

"Already? No. Iie[15].... Naze ima[16].."

"Oba Marie? Nan desh ō ka," I asked suddenly afraid.

"May little hana, listen well. Raven is the only other person who can help you. I don't really have the answers you need. All I know is this: Yōso wa nani ni jinsei dakedenaku, shi o ataeru koto ga shira rete imasu[17]." The line clicks off.
