Pov Narrator

Dazai had attempted to commit suicide by taking several pills in an attempt to overdose. The excess pills made him threw up, but he still didn't stop taking them until he passed out.

"Unfortunately" for him, a few seconds after he fell unconscious, his father, Mori, arrived home and as soon as he saw that scene he quickly took his son in his arms and rushed him to the hospital.

A few hours after cleaning Dazai's stomach, he found himself connected to several machines. The doctors said that his situation was not good, as in addition to the overdose, Dazai was barely eating, leaving his body extremely weak. Dazai could take days or weeks to fully recover. Mori even tried to talk to Dazai but was unable to do so, Dazai's weakness was so big that he would spend days in a state of "deep" sleep.

Mori contacted Dazai's best friend since the two had planned to spend an afternoon together, informing him of the unfortunate incident.

The next day Atsushi went to visit his best friend but he was still sleeping.

-- Why would he do that, I was trying to be a better father..was it my fault? -- Mori murmured as he sat on the chair in Dazai's room for almost 24 hours without leaving his son's side for a second.

-- Dazai hadn't spoken to me in a while... I thought it was strange but he told me that your relationship as father and son had improved... I don't think it's your fault... -- Atsushi tried to comfort Mori a little

-- So...you know what I did to him? -- Mori looked at Atsushi, feeling guilty.

-- Ye..he told me everything -- Atsushi avoided looking Mori in the eyes

Mori then stood up and handed Dazai's phone to Atsushi.

-- I feel like I shouldn't invade his privacy..since you know more than me..Can you contact the people Dazai talks to so they don't get worried? -- Mori didn't know that Dazai was dating, but he at least suspected that Dazai liked someone, and as much as Mori wanted to know who it was, at this most fragile moment, the important thing was to just let them know why Dazai had "disappeared"

Atsushi nodded and sat in a chair on the other side of the room looking at Dazai's phone.

Pov Atsushi

I unlocked my best friend's phone and...oh..my..god...MORE THAN 200 MESSAGES?!

Who..oh..of course..the boyfriend that Dazai always told me about..it must be him..

I took a quick look at the messages from the day before the accident trying to investigate if the suicide attempt had something to do with his boyfriend and...

His mother?..what the fuck is this woman talking about..I'll ask his boyfriend..this was probably the cause of everything..
