Black's pov

I left Sage with Marcia and the others knowing they'd look after him since he's my mate and they're all loyal to me.

I open the door to my office to be greeted by a sight I'd didn't think I'd see. There in my office are Jay who I was expecting and my Beta Troy who I wasn't expecting to be here and standing next to Troy is a boy with sandy brown hair and light blue eyes.

"Jay where are those flies? Troy nice to see and tell me who the boy is?" I order quickly taking a seat behind my desk so I see all three of them.

"Here are the files Black." Says Jay his voice crisp and proper, the voice he only uses when he's pissed, handing me a file. I open and look at Troy waiting for him to tell me who the boy is.

"Black this is Ray, your mates brother who also helped us find those files." Answers Troy his voice cool like water sliding off a waxed leaf, while I look in surprise at the boy who's my mates brother.

"So your Ray," I keep my voice calm and set down the files looking him straight in the eyes "My mate said you never hurt him, is that true?" I motion for him to speak.

"I wouldn't hurt my baby brother." He responds quickly his eyes telling the truth " I don't care what his fur color is he's still family, when my dad ordered his records to be destroyed I had a pack doctor that I'm friends with make copies and hide them." his voice stays calm and he doesn't break eyes contact with me.

"I believe him." says Zed so I believe what Ray has told me, Zed's never been wrong before

"I believe you Ray, now can someone explain how he's here I only gave the orders for my mates family to brought in about an hour ago." I look at Jay as I my question

"I brought him." Answers Troy "I was still in that area so Jay asked me to find the files and when looking for them I ran into Ray who was going nuts looking for your mate. I explained what happened and he lead me to the pack doctor friend of his who had the files and here we are." Explains Troy his voice void of emotion.

"I see." I say folding my hands under my chin and leaning on my desk "Troy I want you to take Ray to and extra room on your floor, I'm sorry Ray but I want to meet the rest of my mate's family before he sees you." I state looking at Ray who nods so I watch him and Troy exit my office.

"You won't like what you're going to read Black, trust me." Whisper Jay after they leave his voice letting me know the files are going to be bad.

I take a deep breath before I open them and start reading. The first few files from his birth to when he was nine years old are good, I find out my mate was born October 11th, 1999 and that he's an Alpha's youngest son... well that I didn't know meaning I have to find someone to take over that pack after I take of his family or maybe if Ray is good I can give to him since he's also the Alpha's son.

Once the files reach after his first shift they get darker. I read how my mate would be brought to this doctor by Ray bloody, bruised, unconscious, and even sometimes in wolf form with his fur ripped apart and bits of flesh missing. I read how sometime he would have six broken bones to sometimes even 10 , how he would wake up sometimes confused because of brain damage from having his head bashed in concrete or a metal rod, how Ray would stay by his brothers side until he woke up. The most startling one though is when it gets to apart talking about how my mate was beaten to near death and run over with a car three times, it's amazing he survived!!

I notice a page that has Ray's name and I read it, I realize that Ray was hurt by his father as well by trying to protect my mate. Its says one time Ray brought my mate to this doctor all bloody and bleeding from multiple bite marks and that he even had a bullet wound in his left arm, but he wouldn't let the doctor help him until he look at my mate. Ray has earned my respect now from what these files say it was always Ray who brought my mate to the doctor when their dad hurt him and that Ray was also abused for protecting his brother, but he never stopped protecting him.

"I'm going to rip those bastard to shreds!!!" Growls Zed his anger pulsing through my mind after I finish reading the files and I agree with him, but we'll both be doing the shredding and my parents will agree with me and not care when I kill my mates parents and brother Alex, ray is safe Zed and I will not harm him since he helped our mate.

"I told you they were bad." Whispers Jay handing me a tissue to wipe tears I didn't even realize had fallen down my face.

"They are dead, I want these files given to my mother and father so they don't argue when I kill these bastards, tell Troy to keep Ray with him. Ray will not be harmed" I say getting up as both Zed and I have a huge urgent need to hold our mate and make sure he's safe.

Jay nods quickly as I open the door and go look for my mate. I find him on the couch sleeping with Oliver looking peaceful and safe letting both me and Zed relaxed instantly as we know he's safe.

Hunter looks at me and I guess my concern is clear in my eyes for he walks over and gently picks Oliver up so not to wake him and then places him on the other half of the couch before picking my mate and handing him to me.

"You look like you need to hold him." mummers Hunter as he turns back to his mate while I hold mine close to me and head toward the bedroom.

I lay him down and curl protectively around him breathing in his scent fresh pepper and pine letting it soothe me into sleep as I know he's nice and safe in my arms.

Well what do you guys/girls think? I think Sage's parents and brother Alex deserve what they get.
