Consciousness abruptly slammed back into you and you woke up in the exact same situation as you were before. It seemed as if you blacked out momentarily due to the excruciating pain and blood loss you were facing.

What were the chances someone would be walking around this time at night especially where you were in this massive fortress. Even if someone was here they probably wouldn't even spot you due to the darkness.

It was just wishful thinking if you believed someone was gonna save you and you were grateful you didn't pass out for a long period of time because you needed to act fast, if you didn't stop the bleeding now, your life would be in danger.

Quickly, you tore off a piece of cloth from your clothing then shuffled in a position you could tend to the gun shot wound on your right leg.

Then, you gently placed the cloth over the center of your wound. Just the slight contact was enough to make you yelp or flinch, you dreaded what you would have to do soon after.

Wrapping the cloth around your leg, you took a deep breath to prepare yourself before you tied and tightened the fabric to stop the intense blood loss you were facing.

Bunching up the ends of your shirt into a ball, you shoved it into your mouth to stop yourself from bitting your tongue and filter your screams.

Using all your strength, you closed your eyes shut then pulled onto the cloth with all the little strength you had left. You bit down hard onto the clothing in your mouth as you kept pulling, your screams came out muffled and soft tears built up eyes as you finally tied the knot.

Spitting out the fabric in your mouth you panted heavily and sweat formed on your face. But you weren't done. You had an even more deadly gun shot wound on the back, right side of your torso.

Ripping off another piece of cloth from your clothes once again, you balled up your shirt into a ball and placed it back in your mouth. Then you wrapped the fabric around your torso, jolting once it came in contact with your wound.

After that, you weaved it into a loose knot before closing your eyes and preparing yourself once again.

Having a mental count down in your mind, once it hit zero you yanked the cloth as hard as you could, so quick you didn't have time to contemplate, you wanted it to end as fast as possible. This torturous pain was even worse than before and you bit down hard onto the cloth in your mouth. Heavy tears erupted from your eyes and you let out the most numbing scream your throat closed up then went dry.

Never in your life did you think you could make such a sound, but you were grateful the shirt in your mouth filtered most of the noise out, you didn't want that person to find out you were alive then come back.

The pain rippled throughout your entire body as you couldn't stop shaking,  deciding it was enough, you tried  to tie the cloth into a knot but your hands were weak, tired, and your muscles were relaxed. You couldn't focus properly, the pain only got worse and worse as you pulled even harder to get more fabric to work with. You felt your mind turn cloudy and your eyelids grow heavy, you were probably about to pass out due to all the pain you were facing.

Knowing this, you toughed out everything you were feeling and focused on stopping the bleeding. Finally, after suffering for what felt like forever you tied the knot, but right after, your body fell limp as you allowed your mind to rest with ease slowly drifting to sleep.

You were half asleep when you felt a pair of large and steady arms wrap around you.

You felt your body move as if you were being carried gently. Their warm body heat made contact with your frosty skin, warming you up instantly and giving you comfort.
