Being an otaku is amazing. There is so many anime to watch, so much manga to read, and also so many soundtracks to listen to.Being an otaku can sometimes make you get alot of friends in school, especially if you attend clubs after school. Some otakus get called names but the name almost every otaku hates is weeaboo...how does someone call a weeaboo if they probably dont know what it actually means. Anime fandom has been around for a long time now and these words have come up in popular culture. "Weeaboo" and "Otaku". Many people mix them up or think they mean the same thing.
A weeaboo basically is just an otaku that has taken their passion into something more drastic. Basically they start replacing English words such as "Cat" and "Cute" with "Neko" and "Kawaii". They will use these words almost all the time online and offline and abuse them. Also they curse how they aren't Japanese and don't dare to touch stuff such as American video games or watch any American media. "Weeaboo" is an insult because of this.I myself feel kinda offended even though i am a semi-weeaboo.
