The Man of Her Dreams - 2

"What magazine..? (Said the man)
Have you started appearing in magazine now, Evie?" (I stilled as I heard him call my nickname)
"Wait... Who-... Who are you?" (I asked him as the he smiled, the little boy who was playing with the puppy until now looked up)
"You're my Auntie! Uncle has a ton of your drawings!!" (Said the little boy excitedly jumping up and down)
(I raised a brow and giggled as I caressed the cheek of the little boy) "what's your name, little guy?" (I asked him in a soft tone) "Mateo!" (The little boy said excitedly) "hmm, Mateo.. your uncle has my drawings you said?" (I asked booping his nose softly and Mateo nodded excitedly) "yes, he has drawn you so many times, he even has a few pictures of you two together when you were young too, auntie.. why weren't you with uncle Nik until now?" (Asked Mateo)
(I looked at his uncle) you... Are you-
(The guy looked down as he took a deep breathe and cut me off) "yes... I'm Nikolai, Eva... Your Nik.." (I looked at him as my eyes widened)
"What?!" (I stood up and stepped back a bit) "nik...? N-nikolai..??" (I shaked my head and looked away) "why...? Why didn't you contact me after you moved away without any notice!"
(Nikolai sighed and stood up holding the puppy's leash and and carrying Mateo in his arms) "Evie, look i-" (he tried to speak but I cut him off looking at him sharply)
"Before you utter anything.. it better be serious for you to not contact me for almost a decade" (I said sternly)
(Nikolai sighed again and nodded looking directly at me as he put Mateo down and handed him the puppy's leash and asked him to get to the car and wait and he nodded getting to the car at once, before I could look back at Nikolai, he pulled me in by my waist, making my shoulders hunch up as I looked at him with a slight gasp)
"N-nik?" (I looked up at him, he was atleast 10 to 15 cm taller than me)
(Without saying anything he lifted my face by softly grabbing my chin and pressed his lips to mine, kissing me softly, before I could even register what had happened, he pulled away looking down at me)
"You don't know how much I've missed you... How much I've longed for you.. Craved you, damn it.." (he said, his voice hoarse a bit)
(I looked up at him taking slow deep breathes, as my breathe hitched hearing how deep his voice was)
"What... What are you talking about?"
(I asked him as he let me go and took a two steps back; I looked at him confused)
"Meet me tomorrow, here.. at this same time.. I'll be waiting for you.. " (he said and as I blinked, he was gone....)
[He disappeared]
(I looked around, no car, no puppy, Mateo wasn't there anymore too, how did they go so fast?; I looked around as I found myself alone at the road)
"What was that?" (I muttered to myself looking around, it was too quick and unexpected to register.. I slowly made my way back to the hotel but failed to notice the pair of eyes behind the building around the corner, I entered my hotel room and went for a shower taking my time as my mind was yet flooded with meeting Nikolai after all these years and that too.. at New York?)

NIKOLAI [POV]

[I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her again.. I had been just so obsessed with her that it was unhealthy, which made me move away from her.. my life.. my heart.. only I know how it's been controlling myself from hunting her down to find her, each day I need  her as much as a body needs oxygen.
After seeing her again, I don't think I can let go of her again.. she seems upset and mad that I moved away without letting her know.. oh my kitten, my Evie.. ]

(After sending Mateo back to the car, I found her looking at Mateo as I pulled her in close by her waist; she had grown up so well, tall yet shorter than me, her curves.., her doe eyes contrasting her sharp features as I lift her face by her chin and lean down pressing my lips to her)

[God, it's heavenly.. her lips fits perfect against mine]

(I pull away before I can lose control and look at her)
"Meet me here tomorrow... At the same time.. I'll be waiting" (I say in a deep rasp, and take a few steps back.. I can't help it when she's being so damn cute looking all confused and flustered, I have to leave or I won't be able to stop myself)

[Nikolai gets behind the building at the corner and continues looking at Eva, while Mateo is being taken home by their driver Smith]

(I follow her to make sure she gets home safely, I frown looking at her entering a... hotel? Does she not have a apartment or something here? I sigh, taking out my phone as I call Viktor, the best tracker in my team and ask him to find me everything about Eva Clarke from the year I moved away until now.. I want to know each damn thing that has happened to my kitten)

P.S: This marks the end of the 2nd chapter
- Nikolai seems to be pretty obsessed towards Eva, what do you think made him move away from Eva which he cherished as much as his life..??

- what is he gonna find out about Eva's past.. is it a normal childhood? Or our Eva is hiding a past that may shock us..
