(A/N:the fanfic went through a huge editing process so the plot has changed a lot. Thank y'all for waiting and I'm sorry for taking so long, I've been really busy these past few months☹️)

The rain pelts and patters the glass windows of your small apartment as you type away on your laptop, replying to your friend's messages about your upcoming first gig helping out the band as a roadie. Your best friend Shoko's band recently graduated from the garage phase and got their first gig at a local bar. As you write, the sound of the rain on the window panes is a soothing, almost calming background noise amidst the bustle of setting up for the gig.

You met Shoko during your first year of high school. Once you both got 'comfortable' with each other, she started hanging out with you more than Suguru and Satoru. You could say you stole her away from them.

This gig helps not only your best friend's band but it might also help with your financial situation. Not only do you still have to pay rent and groceries, but the monthly allowance from your parents isn't enough to cover everything. You're also juggling a few side jobs to save up for your college tuition. A scholarship would've been nice, but you weren't lucky enough to get one, so you're stuck figuring out how to make ends meet.

You're now driving with your group of fellow roadies, Nobara, Megumi and Yuji, ready to embark on the world of bands and roadies. The sky has finally cleared, revealing a woody, freshly rained-on smell. Nature's sweet fragrance fills the air as you head to the band members and pick them up.

As soon as everyone arrives at the bar, everyone starts to go about their jobs. You're in charge of the lighting, and Nobara's job is to set up and plug in the essential equipment. The boys will be in charge of carrying the heavier equipment, like speakers and drums, etc. Everyone's got their roles and duties to do, and you all start to work in tandem like a well-oiled machine.

Well you hope so. You want the best for the band. As a witness of multiple of their performances in Gojo's garage, you very much think that they put their blood, sweat and tears into their works.

Walking to a certain corner of the bar where everyone had set their belongings, you begin to search for your water bottle to get hydrated. Taking a seat at the booth, you look on as Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi head over to the bar counter to get drinks.

Taking a quick glance at the time, you realize that the band's performance will begin in approximately three minutes. Leaning back in your seat, you take the opportunity to scan the interior of the bar. Just like any bar, it's warm and illuminated by orangish-yellow like lighting. The walls are lined with wooden tables and booths, and the bar counter are on the left side of the bar. The stage is in the middle of the end, where the band is awaiting the start of their performance.

With less than two minutes remaining until the band's performance, the bar has become more crowded but not enough to be overly cramped. As the owner enters the stage, he makes an announcement to the crowd "Hello everyone, today we are very lucky to have this talented group of people sharing their talents and performing for us tonight. Without further ado, I introduce to you, Reverie!"

The band steps onto the stage with Geto as the clear center of attention, facing the crowd. Each member individually introduces themselves, telling the audience a little bit about themselves and their role in the band. Then, Geto introduces the first song they perform, getting the audience excited.

The intro of the song begins with a brief, ringing sensation, like a bell being rung out but it was played by a guitar. Then, without any warning, a hard and loud drum beat begins, quickly followed by the strumming of a distorted guitar. Satoru's voice then comes in, singing the first lyrics in a slow, almost dreary, pace, as if the song was illustrating the dreamlike state that the lyricist wanted to convey.

Following Satoru's entrance with his slow, dreamy voice, Suguru's voice then comes in, blending with Satoru's in a harmony of softer tones. The two voices blend together, creating a new layer of texture to the song, which is still in a slower, more dream-like pace.

After a few more verses, where the pace remains slow and dream-like, the band is approaching the bridge. As they get to the bridge, Suguru lets out the most heart-dropping scream as a bridge, changing the entire dynamic of the song. The tempo suddenly picks up and starts to become more intense. This is used to contrast with the softer, more dreamy verses of the song.

After their performance concluded with 5 songs and to celebrate years of hardwork and succeeding, Satoru insisted to treat everyone at a korean chicken restaurant. So now inside a local shop filled with wooden booths, a warm yellowish hue from the lights paint the surroundings as you sit down.

"Y/N" You turn your head to the direction of the voice. "Yes Shoko?" You only give her a smile before she sits next to you before Nanami could making him roll his eyes and sit next to Haibara. "I'm so proud of you." You tell her and Shoko blushes as she mutters a shy. "Thanks" she says with a small smile and her brows knitted.

As a few moments pass Nobara, Megumi and Yuji went back in the van followed by Nanami trying to help intoxicated Haibara walk to the car leaving 4 people left. You, Shoko, Gojo, and Geto. Gojo who got tricked by Shoko who swapped his drink with vodka is now passed out on the table while Shoko who is chugging what seems like her 7th drink. Now the only sober people inside the pub was you and Suguru.

"Do you not drink?" Suguru asks pointing at the still full negroni infront of you. "I do but I have to work a morning shift at the convenience store." Finally taking a sip of your drink, you glance at Shoko who's profusely intoxicated. "Should we help her?" You questioned placing a hand on her head thats resting on the cold wood that's slightly wet from the moisture of different kinds of drinks.

"We should walk them to the van." He suggests, standing up from his seat and wrapping Satoru's arm around his shoulder to support his balance as he manually picks him up from the leather seat and you do the same with Shoko. You both help them walk but as soon as you got into the parking lot the van you're supposed to be in is nowhere to be spotted. You look at Suguru who's scrolling at his phone with his free hand and looks at you.

"They went home without us." He turns his phone screen to face you showing Nanami's message that says they're going home without you four since he needs to return the rented van back to the rental shop. "We can take a cab." You suggest, calling a taxi from a distance and he shakes his head and asks. "Will we fit in a cab?" He raises a brow and you feel small as you feel his aura towering over you.

"You go with them. My place isn't that far from here and I can just walk-" just right before you could finish your words, Suguru interrupts you by promptly saying, "no." Disagreeing with your decision, he shoves Satoru in the backseat, but not in a way that could hurt the white haired boy. "If you're walking, I'm walking with you." He continues speaking, closing the car door and telling the driver where to take those two and handing him some cash.

"Who'll take care of those two?" You tilt your head frowning in confusion on why he would just let a stranger drop those two intoxicated college students at the dust of night. "Satoru has helpers that always waits by the gate for him and Shoko's the type of drunk who can unlock her apartment door miraculously since she's used to it due to how many times she's been through this already. Don't you know? Afterall, she's your best friend right?"

His words sent a jolt into your brain as if he just said the most thought provoking thing known to man but before you could mutter even a single syllable, he scoffs. "Geez, Y/N. I was just kidding. Dont worry your head about it." He brushes a lose strand of hair from his bun behind his ear. "Now come on, where do you live?" He starts walking forward and you follow him.

"Over there, at the apartment just around that corner" Pointing at the direction, your lips quivered feeling the cold breeze of the wind hit your bare skin making goosebumps pop out. "Are you cold?" He questions side eyeing your smaller figure as he continues to walk. "Just a bit but, it's fine since my place is getting closer." Wrapping your arms around yourself, you look at the shining building from afar. It seems like it'll take more than 5 minutes to walk from here to there.

Noticing you're quivering lips and sudden change of demeanor, he takes off his leather jacket without hesitating and hands it to you. "Here." He notices your hesitancy and sighs. He wraps it around your torso. "Don't be so shy Y/N, we're friends too, not just Shoko" There is a slight frustration in his tone that you were too deaf to hear.

Finally, you arrive at the buiding but when you take off the jacket to return it, the presence of it's owner was nowhere to be seen.
