I sit at a table that has no one already at it. And put down my food, I reach for my book out from my bag. I take out my bookmark and start to read. I'm up to a really good part when someone interrupts me,
"yes?" I ask trying and failing not to sound annoyed
"H-hi can we sit here our other friends are way to noisy"
a girl with long jet black hair and silver tips asks. Next to her stands a boy who has black hair with silver bangs. I look at them confused are they related or something? I wonder as I nod and and go back to reading. Not even paying attention to the words on the page I begin to think,
Why are they sitting next to me? They probably got dared to do it...yeah well better play along I guess. I put a bookmark in my place and put it away. "I don't think I've seen you people at foxfire before" I say "yeah were new" the girl says taking a huge bit of the green puffs that dex always gets making me question their sanity. "Why did you eat that?" I ask. The boy looks at me confused then back at the girl who's now a shade of light green "are you ok?" I ask when they eventually manage to swallow it. "Why would Dex eat that?!" The girl exclaims "believe it or not, he actually loves them" I say, they look at me confused " wait you know Dex?" The boy asks while the girl was chugging down water stills trying to get rid of the flavor "yes, well no...but yes?" The boy looks at me confused, I sigh "it's complicated. Keefe and fitz always hang out, and fitz always talks about him so I don't know him, know him but I still know him" I explain giving a little shrug " anyway, sorry I haven't introduced myself yet, I'm tamasvi" I say " tam, and her name is-" "linh!" The girl finishes "what level are you people in?" I ask trying not to lead the conversation into an awkward one. " we're both in level four" Linh answers glaring at the green puffs of disgustingness. "What about you?" Tam asks "level five, same as Keefe and Fitz" I explain. My eyes widen when I notice Keefe walking towards us, I look around us hoping to find someone standing next to us or maybe, sitting at the table beside us...maybe. "Hey, you good?" Linh asks not noticing Keefe yet. "Yeah totally, everything's fines, why would I not be fine?" I ask my voice getting higher by every word. Tam raises an eyebrow curse my fu- "tamasvi!" Keefe exclaims side hugging me "why didn't I see you in class? Oh that's right I didn't go to class. Haha that explains a lot" he says while I try and slip out of his surprise hug. "Keefe let go of meeee" I groan "no" the blond says then he notices tam and Linh. My cousin smirks at the other boy. Making tam blush as he tugs on his bangs.
"Anyway, what are you doing here keefe?" I ask crossing my arms "oh, yeah about that..." "you forgot didn't you?" I ask "no I never said that! It's just hard to explain" he mutters the last sentence so Linh and Tam can't hear. "Well look at what we have here, the outcast is trying to make friends! How cute" a familiar voice says making my hands curl into fists. Keefe notices and stands up amplifying his height. "Go away stina, your not needed here" Keefe says "I still can't believe your related to him" stina mutters ignoring the blond "I bet they don't even know what happened seven years ago" the brunette jabs. I lower my head "Tamasvi what is she talking about?" Tam asks "well your little 'friend' here is a mur-" "Stina go away!" Keefe growls "RiNg" wow could've done that like, ten minutes ago but yeah take your time. I think grabbing my book and stuffing into my bag.
The walk to P.E was even more dreadful now that Keefe was here "do you ever shut up?" Tam asks the blond when he was on his rant about how grass was more powerful than bugs because it always towers over them. "No, well depends on if there's mellowmelt to be eaten then we'll see..." Keefe says then goes back to rant "how do you live with him" tam asks "I'm pretty sure he's already killed half my soul just by talking" "oh I know it's torture but I've lived with the guy almost all my life so I'm kinda used to it" I say giving a shrug "almost?" linh asks. shit "I mean all my live! Yeah that's what I meant hehe" l say. Tam sighs "Tamasvi you're even worse at lying then linh" he mutters "hey!" Linh exclaims "well at least I don't daydream of- " " ok, people no need to argue we're nearly there" I say not really in the mood for a sibling fight in the middle of the hallway. Keefe taps my shoulder "hey, you good? What happened at lunch was so uncool of Stina" the empath says I smile "yeah I'm fine, thank you" I say "wow" Linh exclaims "it's so big" it's true the court was massive which was stupid since we only used about half of it. "Fitzy!" Keefe exclaims running towards the brunette and crushing him in a hug poor fitz "anyway, the level fours are over there" I say pointing at the group next to Dex's and baina's "thank you" Tam says before walking with Linh towards their group. I sigh before walking to my own. "Tamasvi, over here!" Keefe shouts over the crowd even though I'm only four meters away. I walk over to them lowering my head when people realize Keefe was yelling at me. THE OUTCAST. "Hey, you ok?" Fitz asks "yeah, why?" I question "your eyes turned pure black, like the night sky" the telepath answer. "....oh" I whisper my hand reaching for my necklace, one new crack.
