Zane x Demigod!Reader: Science and Faith

(Oh my lord! I thought of this as I listened to the song on the radio, I think I've really outdone myself on this. I also put an OC in this, 😋Comment if you're a HoO Fan!)

Zane was arguing with Y/n again.
"No! You don't understand what I'm saying!"
"No, I understand the stories you're telling me."
"They're not stories! I'm actually a daughter of Zeus! I can prove it!"
"Y/n you can't! That's not possible!"
"For me, Yeah, it it is possible! Here, in 'Ninjago', no, but I'm not from here! At least believe me when I say that! I'm from somewhere else!"
"No! You're crazy! Utterly Insane!"
Y/n teared up, but didn't let the water fall.
"Fine! Be reliant on your 'science' when I make your life a hell!" She cried, storming away from him, tears streaking down her cheeks, her e/c orbs burst out crying.
Zane stood still, he wasn't one to argue, but the complete and utter nonsense from Y/n was unbearable, and he would rely on science if he didn't understand.
But he felt guilty for some reason, he didn't know why, maybe it was for not giving her chance, but Zane thought she needed a serious talk with a therapist.
The lights suddenly went out, a loud clap of thunder shaking the house. "Hey what's the big deal!" Kai shouted.
"It wasn't me this time! I swear!" Jay yelled back, another round of thunder rattled the monestary.
"I can't find anybody! Stay where you are!" Nya cried out.
"This isn't funny!" Lloyd yelled.
Zane just stood where he was, not sure whether he'd be thrown off his feet or electrocuted. A few minutes later the lights flickered back on, and everyone rushed to the living room.
Nya, Kai, Jay, Cole, Lloyd and Zane saw that the others were okay.
"What was that about? It's not storming outside." Cole asked.
"Is wasn't me, that's what I know." Jay stated.
"It was probably a minor earthquake, that's the most reasonable answer." Zane suggested, Nya nodded.
"Yeah, that would explain the power outage and noise." She agreed, everyone agreed on that idea and called it a night.

Later in the night, the light switched on and was brighter than usual, then the bulb gave out and shattered, waking the ninja.
"What's going on!" Kai demanded, falling off his bed.
"I don't know!" Jay replied.
"Calm down, we can probably find an explanation for this." Zane told them, a flashlight flickered on.
"Let's go see what it is." Cole said, pointing the flashlight at the door.
Cole, Zane, and Jay walked out of the room, using the flashlight to see.
"This is getting out of hand." Nya walked towards them down the hallway, she had been looking too.
"Yeah, what about Y/n, is she okay?" She asked.
"Don't know, we didn't check." Cole replied.

"Don't."

The Cole pointed the flashlight ahead and saw Persephone, a young teen who had recently joined the group.
"What do you mean "don't"?" Jay asked, Persephone clucked her tongue as she walked towards them.
"Y/n is a friend of mine, unlike some people, and I checked on her and she's fine, Y/n told me not to let anyone in her room, and I think you know exactly why Zane." She explained, looking directly at the nindroid.
"You didn't believe what she said about her faith, and on top of that, you told her she was insane and the idea was ridiculous." Persephone pressed him, stopping just ahead of the group.
"How do you know that, you weren't there." Zane told her.
"No Zane, you just didn't see me, none of you see me unless it's on occasion like this, I was sitting on the counter with my legs crossed and ready to kill you for what you said, but I went to comfort Y/n instead. And I believe her." Persephone spat, glaring at the white ninja with her arms behind her back.
"How can you believe that-that nonsense?" Zane asked her.
"Its not nonsense Zane." Jay said.
"Excuse me?!" Zane said.
"Y/n proved it to me, you wouldn't let her, would you." Nya said.

"No he didn't, but I will prove it."

Y/n stood at the end of the hall, her hands in fists.
"I would suggest that everyone else take cover in another room." She told them, rolling her shoulders back, and everyone but Zane left in a hurry.
"What is with you?" Zane demanded, Y/n eyes looked like a roaring fire.
"ME?! You're asking what's wrong with Me?!" She yelled, electricity beginning to spark off of her hands.
"Well I'll tell you!" Y/n shouted, opening her palms.
"I'm scarred." Electricity encased the h/c haired girl.
"I can't keep myself together."
The sparks spread to the floor where she stood, her h/c hair floating in the static.
"And I fell for someone who would never give me a chance!" Y/n shouted, the electricity burst through the hallway, knocking the nindroid to the floor.
"The worst part is that he's the one in front of me." She said, tears freely falling from her e/c eyes.

Zane was shocked and confused on the floor, he looked at Y/n who was leaning against the wall for support.
Zane stood up and started hesitantly walking to her.
"Y/n?"
"NO! You've done nothing for me! Why now!" She shouted, lifting her arm in his direction.
"Y/n please I didn't-"
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She screeched, lighting shooting out from her arm, Zane dodged, but the force sent Y/n flying backwards to the floor.
"I didn't know, I'm sorry I wouldn't give you a chance I-" He started as he approached her, knelling at her side.
"I didn't know you felt the same." Zane whispered, Y/n, however, was passed out on the floor, unable to hear his apology.

It was going to be sometime before
Y/n ever woke up, three years in fact, and Zane's guilt became quickly unbearable soon after that night.
The only indication that she was alive was the steady rise and fall of her chest, her breathing was a slow tempo, but still living.
Sometimes Zane would visit her room, where she was laid down afterwards, play some of the songs from her phone, which took some time to understand, and sit down next to bed, trying to figure out an apology for when she woke up.
One song of hers in particular had made him even more guilty.

"Science and Faith" by some artist called The Script.
And that song was what was playing when Zane decided it would be the last time he visited.

I tried pushing evolution
As the obvious conclusion of the start.
But it was for my own amusement

The white ninja sat in the chair he had sat in many days before this one, a small frown on his face, and he sighed.
"I'm sorry Y/n." He whispered into the empty room.

"Apology accepted."

Zane looked over to the bed, where Y/n was sitting against the bed frame, smiling faintly. The nindroid didn't know what to say, even though he had been hoping for this to happen.
"You gonna sit there's with your mouth open are you gon-mph!"
Y/n was cut off by Zane slamming his lips to hers, tackling her in a hug.
He pulled away.
"I'm sorry about that I'm sorry for what I said, for not believing you I-"
"I said I accepted your apology, your forgiven." Y/n said, hugging him back.

"I didn't know it before but I love you Y/n."
"Love you too non believer, love you too."
