Ethan's fingers trailed across the wood, slowly. Daniel, Seth, Hope, and Lena crowded around him, all of us examined the large raft with wide eyes. There was a magnetic pull to the small boat, as if it was beckoning us to ride it.
I watched as grime collected on Ethan's fingertips. A tug in my chest made me take a step toward. I wanted to ride it.
Suddenly someone's voice ripped me out of my reverie. "Umm guys? Maybe we should go?" It was Hope. I glanced up to her hazel eyes and was shocked by the uncertainty swimming in them.
My irises grew wide as I noticed a dazed expression everyone wore.
Seths voice came out slightly slurred,"Let's try it."
Adventurous thoughts coursed through me as I pictured myself on the raft. The yearn to board was overwhelming, blocking all logical thoughts. I needed to ride it.
I glanced at Hope and was appalled by the twisted grimace painted onto her features. She appeared to be thoroughly struggle. The comforting thoughts of the raft were hazy, making my head feel thick and heavy. I saw no struggle. Flabbergasted, I watched as Hopes grimace forcefully turned into a lazy smile and her pinched skin became relaxed.
"Yeah," she replied dazed,"let's try it."
In a trance we all clambered onto the log boat, using the walls to hoist ourselves up. In unison, we began to force our feet into the water with celerity, causing the raft to surge foward.

My eyes fluttered open, greeted by a golden glow cast on me. The salty ocean air pervaded around me and I- ocean?!
A shriek escaped my lips as I tumbled into someone, only intensifying the scream. Where was I.
The barrier around my memory broke and an influx of memories flooded in.
My eyes scanned the the bodies that slumbered in pure serenity.
I racked my brain pondering with what crazy Impulse pursauded us to do something as reckless as this.
My eyes settled to the crashing waves beside the raft.
The deep azure of the water glinted in the dawns shower of colors. A haze of auborn, gold, and the softest orange mingled with each other forming the night sky.
I ignored the mist clinging to my my bare arms and hesitantly dipped my toes in to the water. Mesmerized, my eyes followed the soft ripples that exceeded through the force.
The coolness wrapped around my skin, causing all the warmth from my sleep to drift away.
A figure dropped beside me. I tilted my chin and my eyes made contact with Ethan's emerald gaze.
"Do you remember last night?" His husky voice inquired.
I desperately tried to collect my thoughts, but my cluttered memories was sorrounded by a veil of fog.
I shook my head. "Do you?"
"Nope."
A wave of drowsiness washed over me as my sore muscles began to relax.
" Should we wake the others?" My voice came out thick, like syrup.
Ethan smiled softly,"Nah, let's give them a bit longer it's still night time."
My eyelids grew heavy and before I knew it, my head was against Ethan's chest. Immeadiately I stiffened, chatisising myself for stumbling in this position. But his warm hands were absentmindedly rubbing circles on my back, causing thrills of warmth and pleasure to run up my spine. My eyelids fluttered shut and a soft sigh escaped my lips. Then his fingers climbed up my hair and to my scalp and that's when the serenity of a dreamless slumber wrapped around me in a gentle embrace.
