The next day,
Crystal jumped out of the box.
He was still wet, his fur was wet and brown.
His eyes were like sharp daggers as they glared at anyone he saw, any human he saw.
"Hachoo!" Crystal sneezed.
"Did I really catch a cold?" He mumbled.
He shook his head, 'no, no I need to find something to eat, from all the stories I heard, I will die if I don't eat.'
Crystal walked from the bus stop and reached a park.
He tilted his head, he walked in with sharp eyes.
His eyes glared at anyone who looked at him, 'i hate humans...'
The little kids playing there didn't try to approach him because of the glare.
He saw a group of kids petting a white cat with brown spots.
They fed him fish and milk, it seemed to be a daily occurrence.
His eyes widened, 'do the street cats have no dignity?' he hissed at the group.
The white cat with brown spots glanced at him once and didn't even look at him again.
The little kitten felt like he had become invisible.
The kids played by running around the park, a few humans were sitting on the bench nearby.
But no one looked at him now.
Crystal trembled.
Suddenly he heard a voice behind him, "oh my what a beautiful kitty!"
It was a little girl's voice.
His ears twitched.
He turned around and saw a girl
who was smiling, she had braces on her teeth which made Crystal confused as he had never seen that before."Pft! Haha look the ugliest girl is laughing, it looks ugly!" A boy shouted, looking at her.
The other kids with him started laughing at her.
The girl's smile faded.
Crystal watched it happen, the little girl approached him.Crystal glared at her and bared his teeth, his claws were out. He was ready to scratch her.
The little girl smiled without showing her teeth and petted the cat, "hello pretty kitty..."
Crystal stiffened, 'i'm sure I don't look pretty right now...'
He looked at her with doubtful eyes.
"Oh you are wet!" She exclaimed before using her handkerchief to dry him.
"Hey!" Crystal exclaimed but he just let the girl do what she wanted.'finally' he let out a sigh of relief as the girl let him down.
He was not wet anymore but he still looked slightly brown, his white fur seemed like a light brown fur.
Crystal licked his paws, he wanted his white fur back.
The little girl took out candy from her pocket.
Crystal looked at the girl with curiosity.
"Here you go!" She unwrapped it and put it in front of him.
Crystal looked at the candy and then at her.
He sensed pure good intention from the little girl.
He hesitated but ate the candy.
The little girl smiled beautifully with her teeth showing again.
'this smile is nice...' he thought as he chewed the candy.
"Hey you don't know cats can't eat candies?" Another little girl arrived and said as she pointed at the little girl with braces.
Crystal stopped chewing the candy, 'what!'
"These are cat candies, they are safe for cats to eat and only cats can eat them." The girl with braces explained.
"There are things like that?" The little girl with short hair exclaimed.
Crystal started chewing the candy again.
'that scared me for a second...'The girl with braces laughed, her teeth and braces were showing.
Crystal remembered what happened a moment ago, he hesitantly moved in between the girl with braces and the girl with short hair.
"Wow you look so pretty when you smile" the girl with short hair said.
The girl with braces asked, her smile turned shy, "really?"
The girl with short hair nodded as she asked, "wanna play together?"
The girl with braces smiled and nodded.
"Bye kitty!" She said as she waved a bye to Crystal.Crystal watched the two, 'the candy was tasty...'
He felt that he was being mean by hating other humans, just because of his previous owner.
After all he needed to survive, he kind of needed human help for that.
Crystal's tail shook for a few seconds before he stood up and walked out of the park.
He went looking for his food.
He walked past the park and reached a street with lots of houses.
He jumped up on a wall.
He looked at the humans that walked by as he yawned.
"Wow look! a cat!" A man said as he walked closer to the wall with his phone.
"The cat looks dirty..." Another man with him said.
"Stop being mean!" The man with curly brown hair scolded the other man as he took a photo of Crystal.
"Hello?" Crystal hesitantly greeted him with a paw raised.
"Wow he just meowed at me, at me!" The man seemed excited as he took another photo.
Crystal posed for the photo, 'looks like i still look pretty...'
"It looks so small... I wonder where its mother is?" The man with curly brown hair looked around.
"Are you finished?!" The other man yelled.
"Yeah..." The man with curly hair reluctantly left as the man dragged him.
'he didn't feed me...' Crystal thought sadly.
Crystal jumped down from the wall and walked back.
He walked past the park as he watched the kids play.
He reached the bus stop, his box was still there.
He jumped inside the box and curled up. He wants to sleep for a while.
'just a little nap...' he thought, he was hungry but the candy he ate before was enough for him to be energized for a while, with a little nap it would be even more good.
Crystal smiled. 'today was quite a nice day'
In the past he considered a day as good when he got extra treats, but now...
It made him sad but what can he do.
After he grew up a little, he can steal fish from shops. Like the cats from the tv.Just like that he drifted into sleep.
