She sat in the corner of our library, curled up in the single-seater that I insisted on having in the room for her to stay near me, even while I was working on military operations."What about the eastern route?""No, there are roads monitored by the elves; they will stop the caravans in their tracks, and by the time we need them, it will be too late for us to receive the word, let alone have a backup plan."Aziel's voice pierced my ears as he droned on about how Caleb's plan would be shut down instantly. The lovers across from me scowled at one another, and growls soon followed suit.My eyes danced from my peaceful bride and up to them; they were agitated with one another, and I was with them. We have spent days locked up in the room together, planning and executing safe routes for not only our supplies but also for our travelling allies making their way to us.Neither of us had slept for two days; I was going on a week of barely getting any sleep, thanks to the nightmares that haunted my bride while she slept. She would wake up screaming and thrashing at me during the night.Once I had her arms and legs pinned, I would sit up for hours, patting her and stroking her messy brown hair as I tried to settle her mind with sweet whispers and reassurance that she was safe.A growl from Aziel pulled my dazed attention to them; their eyes were shifting to different colours as their nails sharpened. Aurora's dull green eyes darted from the book in her hand and onto the two men."Enough, both of you; I'm too exhausted to deal with your lover's spat."Golden eyes darted towards me; their growls were low, but they still threatened to break the thick air around us. Angered at their disobedience, I released the growl in my chest, making the red flames in the fireplace flicker and shimmer into a light shade of blue.Caleb eased his growl, and his eyes faded back to their usual shades of blue and green. As for Aziel, his eyes seemed to glow with their unnatural golden tone. I turned to face him as we both let out growls in defiance. The sound of heels hitting the stone floor made my ear twitch, but I never broke eye contact with the beast across from me."I think we all need to take a break, Princess. I have some of that root you asked for."It wasn't the sound of Caleb's voice; it was the sight of her small smile as she looked up at the blonde man."What Root?"Aziel growled toward his partner, pulling Aurora's smile away."Violet Bean and Skullcap are to help her with her dreams so that she can sleep through the night and allow Artemis to rest as well."The growl in my throat faded as she pulled further into her seat; her cheeks turned a light pink. Aziel responded with a broken growl and a scoff."Is the princess aware of the biggest side effect of those roots?"My brow cocked as I studied my bride. She had her book opened once again, and her dull eyes tried to scan the pages before her, but her mind was too focused on the conversation unfolding between us."She is, and so is King Omar, so he made sure not to put too much of the Violet Bean, and balanced it with the Skullcap and extra Lavender."I watched as the younger man dug around his pockets and pulled out a small copper box that had sigils and markings decorating its cornices and faces. Aziel let out a growled sigh as my bride happily took the trinket."If it helps her sleep through the night, leave it be Aziel."Her lips curled into a bright smile as she mouthed her thanks, and her dull green eyes seemed to sparkle with delight when she hugged the small object to her chest. The sight made me smile, and it seemed to catch her attention as her eyes nervously darted towards me and then suddenly back to the book she was pretending to read."Let's go and get some tea and you a jug of wine; we all need a break from this, just one night."Caleb ran his hand over Aziel's chest; a purred growl left the man."Fine, but I need a word with the prince."His eyes darted for the large wooden door behind Caleb; his words made me frown, but with that simple gesture, I watched as the blonde man happily ushered my bride out of the room, whispering something towards her.Once we were alone, my hand curled into a tight fist as I prepared myself for insubordination from my lifelong friend."Do you remember our campaign in the West, when we set camp up in the Seba Oasis?"I nodded as the memory washed over me. We were running a campaign in the West for the King, who requested that we clear out the region of bandits that were raiding the small villages hidden in the green Oasis."Caleb was having those dreams about the basilisk, so King Omar gave him those roots to help him get some sleep during the campaign; the king never told us about this one particular side effect of the Violet Bean."My hand relaxed and eased as I tried my utter best to remember Caleb's behaviour during that time, but all I could focus on was the route we took, the men we had guarding the resources, and how we tackled our objectives.Aziel shuffled on his feet as he tried to find words to describe his memory of the time, but my eyes lazily drifted towards the table where all of our planning and maps sat, waiting for me to dig through them and figure it all out."He rode me like a horse, Artemis."That caught my attention, and a smirk crossed my lips as I looked at the annoyed man."Aziel, I never saw you as the one to bend over and take it, but good for Caleb."As I chuckled, the man scoffed a growl at me; his eyes shimmered slightly under the dancing flames in the fireplace. Heavy hands fell onto my shoulders and shook me gently."Artemis, the princess will want you more than anything once she has those herbs, but the moment she is satisfied, I'm warning you to grab her and hold her; she will fall asleep instantly and stay that way for a few hours, maybe days."I popped my brows at the man and flashed him a toothy grin."My bride hasn't allowed me to touch her since we returned Aziel; she isn't ready to have me in any way, so I assure you, I won't have that issue, but I will keep an eye on her."The beastly man groaned and dropped his head in defeat. With a heavy pat on my shoulder, the man left with his voice booming through my bedroom as he yelled for his partner's attention.Once I heard the heavy main door swing shut, I made my way to where our bed sat silently, hugging her small body tight. Caleb had made her the bitter-smelling tea and assisted her into bed.I stood over my resting bride and smiled at the sight. She was tucked and covered by the thin silk sheets, and as she curled up with her legs to her chest and my pillow in her arms, her small nose was buried into the object, and a small smile sat on her lips. For days she has taken shirts I have worn and has kept herself wrapped in them, drowning herself in my scent. After watching her a bit longer, I leaned in and placed a light kiss on her temple, pulling a hum from her pink lips."Sleep well, my princess."With that mutter, I stripped down to my briefs, slipped into a pair of loose pants, and lazily made my way back to my library. My hands instantly danced over the crystal jugs holding my strongest liquor.I hesitated before I poured myself a glass of the dark brown liquid. The crystal was cool to my lips as I swung my head back and drank it all in an instant. The bitter, sweet liquid burned as it made its way down my chest.I refilled the glass before making my way to the seat that my bride had housed and took it with a heavy sigh. My eyes pulled shut instantly and tight, my head pounded, and my body ached. I hated my existence at that very moment. It has been a month since my punishment since my bride was broken. My body sank deeper into the seat the longer I sat there; her scent was thick and around me, making my aching joints ease.My wounds have healed to the point that I can move on my own and ride my dragons without pain, but I still ached at times. Even as I sat in this seat, I ached. My mind slowly eased but never once settled; it still raced and pondered every outcome of the upcoming battle. As part of the laws of Endora, should a war be declared between two kings, there is a two-month grace period for both parties to move their citizens into safety to avoid unnecessary casualties in attacks. Well, that's what the Dragon's do, but I wasn't too sure how the other kingdoms dealt with their grace period.Slowly, my thoughts and ideas melted together; the words dancing in my mind melted and merged, making no sense, as I slowly fell into a deep sleep. The light touch running over my chest was what woke me.I grabbed the object touching me by its head and throat, slamming its body into the wall behind me. An unhinged, sloppy growl left my lips as I looked down at bright green eyes and shaking pink lips.My eyes landed on her shocked face; her heart was pounding in her chest, and I could feel her pulse under the hand wrapped around her neck."Artemis."Her voice was a whisper that made my knees buckle under me. I released her and pulled back instantly, but the small hand holding onto my pants pulled me back and against her small body."Don't move."Another whisper in my ear, and my chest ached as she held me close. My hands landed above her head, keeping me a safe distance from hurting her any further. Her fingers were locked around the top of my pants, locking me in place."Princess, I'm sorry."I didn't recognize my voice as my words left my lips. Our eyes were locked, and I was filled with shock as our eyes were locked. Her usual dull green eyes seemed bright under my dark shadow and pounding heart."I tried to wake you, but you were in a deep sleep; you even spilt your drink."I looked over to where I sat, and she was right. On the ground was my crystal cup; it didn't seem to have a crack from the fall, but it sat there with its contents spilt. My attention darted back towards my bride as her pants started to lazily dance up my torso. My throat ached as my breath was caught. Her eyes weren't on me any longer; instead, they were focused on my body, on her fingers that danced over my scared body. Her breath was heavy when her eyes jumped back up to lock with mine."I tried my best to tend to it myself, but it won't go away; I can't sleep; all I can think about is you; I can't bother you; I need you to rest."My pounding heart eased under her cry; all I could do at the moment was smile down at her. Her soft fingers stopped on my chest, the one place I dreaded her touching, but as we stood there, I never wanted her to move."You tended to what, my love?"I smiled down at the blushing woman as Aziel's words filled my mind. She had an itch that she needed to get rid of but felt too scared to ask me or even have me touch her at that very moment."My desire,"She muttered under her breath, making me chuckle."Your desire for what, my love?"Her eyes nervously darted around before snapping up to me. Her eyes danced with rage as she looked up at my grinning face. My princess was slowly filling with life and making me feel an excitement I missed. She stood on her toes and pressed her hands to my chest so that she could whisper into my ear. She kept her distance still, and her whisper was broken, but she tried her utter best to either seduce me or tell me off."My desire to be fucked by my idiot husband."I licked my lips and placed a light kiss on her covered shoulder, her body still tensed under me."Alright, my princess, how about you tie me to this seat and use me to your heart's content, and I promise I won't touch you, not unless you ask me to."She fell back to her feet, then against the wall. Her eyes were wide with a sparkle of excitement."Why?"It was the only thing she could mutter at the time. I smiled down at her before leaning in to gently press my lips to hers. This time she never tensed her body or pulled away from me; she slightly leaned in for the kiss."I, as a devoted idiot husband, will happily be tied to the chair for my very aroused wife to use me as she pleases; that is why, and this way you will be in control the whole time."I pulled away and made my way to the chair where I had fallen asleep, where her scent pulled me in. My eyes danced around the chaotic room and landed on a shirt. I turned to my bride with a warm smile on my lips as I eagerly tugged on my pants to expose my briefs to her.The sight, scent, and touch of my bride made me slightly aroused; it was her words that made me stand at full erection; our eyes never broke, not once as I worked on removing my briefs before taking my seat. She watched me carefully as I got comfortable in the seat; my erection danced lightly with my movements, and her green eyes followed my pierced tip, never pulling away. The thick, warm air around us was filled with the ripping sound of me tearing the shirt in half.I used one of the strips to tie my left arm down as tight as I possibly could. My fingers lazily held onto the other piece as my attention turned back towards her. A faint smile crossed her lips as I looked up at her with a cocked smile."Well, princess? I need you to tie me down; I won't be able to keep my hands to myself the moment you come closer."Her eyes darted to the cloth dangling between my fingers; her chest moved quickly as panic rose, but she bit down on her fear and closed the space between us. She shyly took the cloth from my hand, then eagerly tied my wrist down.I sat there exposed, and with a wide smile on my lips, my groin ached as her green eyes danced up and down my body. I could see every curve of her body from where I sat; her thick thighs were pulled tight, and her plump breasts seemed swollen with her hardened nipples."I can use you as I please?"I nodded, as my lips felt too heavy to whisper a response. She smiled at my simple action and sweetly tucked a strand of brown hair behind her ear. She took her time, but eventually made her way to me.Her lips were soft and warm against mine as we shared an innocent kiss. The sensation reminded me of our wedding and the first time we shared a cold and distant kiss. She tried her best to be warm and loving as her fingers danced up my body and over my chest.Arms locked around my neck as she straddled me, and her swollen lips grazed my tip, making me swallow down a growl. Our breathing grew heavy when she pulled her lips away from mine. She looked down at my body, then back into my eyes. A fake smirk crossed her lips as one of her hands jumped down to my hardened member. Her fingers gently grazed my tip, making me growl from the back of my throat. My head rolled back as I couldn't sit and watch her tease me while I fought down growls and moans. Her fingers were small masters as they gently teased me; she then moved to gentle strokes, making me harder somehow and more uncomfortable under her warm touch. My hips moved on their own, pushing my shaft up into her hands, which caused her to pull back slightly. I pulled my head up to see her glaring down at my erection as if it were about to bite her.I watched her for a few seconds as she shook her head and pulled herself out of whatever nightmare was running through her mind."Aurora?"I whispered her name, pulling her attention up to me. Her sweet pink lips were curled into a small smile, and her green eyes sparkled with life as she looked at me."I forgot how much I love touching you and making you moan."My brow cocked up at her words; the sight of her made my lips curl into a smirk. She moved slowly as she closed the space between our lips. In a breath, her lips were on mine; our kiss was innocent and sweet, but slowly her desire took over once again, and she dominated my mouth, making me hum and moan under her warm tongue. She never parted our lips as she pushed my head back so that she could straddle me. I felt flustered as I ached to pull her hair, wrap my fingers around her throat, and crawl between her thighs and devour every drop of her arousal. We both hummed as her small fingers guided my tip to her opening. I groaned at how tight she felt as she slowly slipped down, taking my full length. She, however, sobbed into our kiss. I could taste her tears as they rolled down our cheeks and mixed with our kiss.My arms pulled as I tried to reach for her and hold her tight, but the arm I tied down struggled to move. My other arm pulled easily against the weak restraint, but I stopped myself instantly as I reminded myself of the promise I made her."My princess, you are safe."I muttered against her lips as she pulled away, keeping her lips inches away from mine."You are in control of me and the situation; you can end this anytime you wish, my love."She nodded to my words. I was lying; I didn't want her to stop; I didn't want her to move, but I couldn't tell her that, not right now. We sat there for what felt like hours, but slowly she gained what she needed to start moving her hips, making us both groan.Slowly, her confidence and usual biting strength returned, and her hips rolled back and forth, controlling my moans and groans. The hand that broke free from its restraints found its way wrapped lazily around her hips, moving with her small bounces.A breathy chuckle left her lips; it sent a chill down my spine. Her small hands danced their way up to cup my face so that she could hold me steady as her hips started to bounce quicker, making her moans grow louder and hitched. My hips rolled up with her movements, meeting her halfway, pushing us both further to what we both needed at that moment. She whimpered against my lips as her body pulled tight around my shaft, making me groan in response. As she pulled tighter, she buried her face into my neck and slammed her hips down to take my full length and clamp around me, pushing me into my release. The hand around her waist pulled her tighter to my body and held her steady as her body eased around mine."Aurora?"I muttered her name as her body seemed to have gone limp and lax in my arm, and her breathing was low and steady in my ear. Aziel was right once she received what she needed; she would fall asleep within an instant.
