I hear my name mentioned and join my new friend who had already been called and the representative continues: "Monsieur Descamps come on...".
I see the boy emerge from the crowd and my friend says, "Oh God... why did it have to be him?" "But who is he?" "He is one who gets carried away, I don't know him directly but let's say he's famous for being very mean, and yet a lot of girls go after him. In short, he's the kind of guy I'd stay away from."
I have to admit that after what Simone told me, I'm a little ashamed that I thought he was cute, but in the end I didn't even know him.
The representative finishes listing all my classmates and then we enter the school and arrive in the classroom, where I sit with my friend.
Our first lesson is Latin, which deeply displaces me given my deep hatred for this subject.
As I write the professor asks me to translate a sentence, so I get up and try to translate it, but when I sit back I feel observed from the left side of the class, just the part where he was with his little friends, who were giggling around him.
The professor notices the buzz and raises Dupin, a friend of his, and calls him to give him the note, which was the cause of the mess.
The time to see the sheet and Lupin ends at the representative, I honestly don't even want to know what was on that sheet, because I have the bad feeling that it was something about me.
The class ends and as I go out I get bumped into by Descamps, who turns to me and chuckles with his friend. I must say that I feel really irritated, but I decide that for the moment it is better to ignore it. At lunch Dupin is back and one of the girls I'm sitting with asks us: ''Who knows what was on the ticket'', with a bang of courage I tell her, "And why don't we ask him". At this point I don't even know what I really want to accomplish, but I yell at Dupin, who was in the next table: "Dupin! Why don't you tell us what was in the ticket?" "It was a portrait", but it wasn't Lupin who responded, but Descamps, "If you want I'll redraw it just for you", all his friends laugh as he draws with a pen on the paper towel.
About 20 seconds later I find myself a drawing of a naked woman and he also has the courage to answer "I can tell you I took inspiration from someone, but I won't say who she is". At this point I'm furious, I get up, take his glass and pour the water on his pants, 'Let's see if at least that way you can appease the hormones'. Just as everyone looks at me in amazement, the representative enters the canteen.
And as if I woke up from a trance, at that point I realised what I had done and even on the first day of school.
As the representative calls me, I look at Descamps and he looks like he's under a spell, then he looks at me straight in the eyes with a shocked expression. It sounds strange, but at that moment I noticed that his eyes were brighter than before.
