Chapter 1: The beginning

"Get up sweetheart. It's getting late. It's your graduation day."mom said.

"Yes mom just a minute! ".

Yes, today I will officially become Dr. Lily Smith. Sounds amazing!

But wait it's just a fairy tale, coz my life turned upside down just after this day.

Let me start from the beginning.

I am daughter of Mr. Leonard and Mrs. Marian Smith. I am 26 yrs old. My dad is the vice president of one of the biggest Mnc in the world "The Addisons "

My father was a really hard working and an honest man. He used his skills to reach one of the top positions of the company. He is now promoted as a board member by the president/CEO himself. Honestly we were really shocked to hear this amazing news. But who knew this was the beginning of the series of adventure that will turn my life forever.

Back to present, We suddenly received a call that father was admitted to the hospital. All my excitement had gone and we were worried sick. I missed my graduation. As I talked to the doctor about the fees, he said that it was already paid. I thought maybe Dad's company gave the full coverage. But to my horror it was paid by Mr. Addison. The CEO himself!!!!! Well I knew that they were friends but didn't knew they were that close!

After 3 weeks dad was discharged. I was not told why he was kept there for almost a month. After reaching home my mom called me. She said that she and dad wanted to talk to me about something. That was suspicious!

"Lily, there's a thing I wanted to say to you but I never did. Well I have only a few months to live. We never know what will happen to me. " Dad said.
"Nothing will happen to Dad. Just relax dad" I said in a casual tone.
" Dear I had a heart attack this time. I don't know how long I will survive. But before all this I want to tell u something. The real story of my life". Wait! What!!!

" Yes dear, as u know I am a member of the board and the vice president and also a close friend of Mr Addison. To be honest Mr Addison was actually my school friends. We lost touch between the years but we reconnected again when I joined this company 15years back. Since then I have been by his side and made his company one of the best in this world. I never told you because I wanted you to take inspiration from me and do your best in your work. Not only that it was me who taught his son James Addison about the business and the stuffs that work in here" .

Wait, James Addison, the cold heart , handsome, smart ,genius who had no emotions and is known for his infamous hatred towards being in any relationship was my dad's student!!!!!

"As I was saying, Mr. Addison has always admired you for your academic brilliance, kindness and your honest and innocent heart. He sees you as his daughter. That day when I was at the hospital I might have taken a decision without your permission dear. I have never ever forced you anything. But I want you to marry his only son James. Please dear, I want you to see safe. "

"Dad, you are really funny. Did u think you and mom can scare me with this joke. Come on Dad! " I laughed. But my laughter vanished when I saw the cold expression in their faces.

" Mom dad you can't do this to me. Why?!!! "

" James is smart and responsible. He will take care of you. " But dad! " Consider this to be my last wish".

So this is me today, the day before my wedding.
