Rakshit and Divya stood up and went to Rakshit's room.
Rakshit- I'm so sorry for making you wait,It was an emergency at the hospital so I had to leave
Divya - Your parents informed us
Rakshit - hmm.Why are you so sad?
Divya - Then what do you expect me to be ? Happy?
Rakshit - Yeah, I mean your brother is getting married soon.
Divya - So? I couldn't care less! All I care about is Me.And there's nothing happening going on in my life just because of you
Rakshit- And how is that possible?
Divya - Because your father asked for my hand for you. You dumbass
Rakshit - Hey! Language!
Rakshit Pov -
After hearing this I feel bad. I have had a crush on Divya since childhood but I don't think that she likes me and there could be a possibility that she already has a boyfriend or maybe she's getting forced by her father to meet me.I couldn't expect more from that bastard he would do anything to make his business grow and he desperately wants to sign a deal with my father.I was deep in my thoughts when Divya snapped her fingers and said
Divya - Excuse me,What are you thinking
Rakshit - Are you getting forced to marry me?
Divya - Wow Mr brilliant you guessed it right,I can't say forced Bribed would be a better word to explain my situation.
Rakshit - Please Elaborate
Divya - My father is going to Die soon and after him someone has to take care of his position and so according to the rules of the underworld to acquire the throne one has to get married and has to have a successor(a child).And because of all that I have to get married so I can become a mafia queen.
Rakshit - Ohh,So you just want to marry me for the throne and not because you love me
Divya chuckled and said - I do not believe in love Mr Rakshit Shergill.Love is for the weak people.
Rakshit scoffed and said - No one can live without Love and Love is everywhere.
Divya - Ok now stop your Philosophies and get to the point! Why do you want to marry me? I told you my reason so come on and spill the tea.
Rakshit was shy to admit that he liked her and thought that she would probably make fun of him so he said -
Rakshit - My father wants me to marry you and his decision is the final decision and I have to obey my Father.
Divya - hmm.Fine by me as long as I get what I want from my father.
Also I have some questions for you and some things that I want to clear with you before marrying.
Rakshit - Okay, Ask
Divya - Who does the household chores in your house? Specifically who cooks food.
Rakshit - We have maids for everything. But sometimes my mom and my sister cook. My mom likes cooking and I do to.
Divya - Oh! You can cook?
Rakshit - Yess I would have been a chef if not a doctor.
Divya - Quite interesting, I didn't think that you could cook.But I don't like cooking at all,I know how to cook basic things not more than that.So,do not expect me to cook food or do household chores. I'm a career oriented women and I'm never going to quit my job.
Rakshit - Woah, take a chill pill. I'm bringing home a wife not a maid, no one expects you to cook and clean. I would like you to know that I'm also career oriented and I would also never quit my job.
Divya chuckled and said
Divya - Well that's a good thing.Atleast we do have something in common.
Rakshit - We have alot in common just that we don't know it yet.
Divya - Can be! Who knows. Anyways I wanted to ask why did you became a doctor when you could have become a mafia like your father? Or you could also manage the company of your dad?
Rakshit - My dad desperately wanted me to take his position but from a very young age I knew that all this work wasn't made for me and I do not belong in this industry.And as for the company,
Raina manages it very well. Also I always wanted to become a Doctor and help people.
Divya - Oh, That's nice. Also do you have a girlfriend?
Rakshit was looking in his phone and when he heard her question, he looked up from his mobile and raised his eyebrows in surprise or maybe shock of why is she asking that.And he gave her a look
Divya - Do not look at me like that! I am only asking this because even though this marriage is just a deal between our parents, but I wouldn't want my husband to have an extramarital affair.
Rakshit - You do not have to worry about that, I'm very loyal and A One Woman Man you know 😌
Divya - Oh is that so?
Rakshit - Yes
Divya - Well then I don't need to worry about anything. Do you have any questions for me?
Rakshit - Yeah, What do expect from me in this marriage?
Divya - I do not expect anything from anyone when I don't give them the same thing in return.I would expect you to trust me, respect me and be loyal towards me.And that goes both ways.
Rakshit - Good to know.Do you think that you could give a fair chance to this marriage? I know that you're not ready to get married but I do not want to live in a loveless marriage all my life.
Divya - I honestly don't know about it.I think it would be better if we would take things slow and become friends first and then maybe a couple.I understand your perception but just give me some time.
Rakshit - Sure, No pressure take as much time as you want.
Divya hummed and said - So should we go out and tell them that they can go ahead?
Rakshit - Yeah let's go.
Divya and Rakshit go towards the living room
Divya pov - She sees that everyone is worried and is waiting to hear their decision. And why wouldn't they be worried. After all it's great for their business and mafia empire. Rakshit grabs everyone's attention and brakes the news to them.Just then Raina comes flying towards me and hugs me and says,Im really happy that you're gonna be my Bhabhi(sister-in-law). I break the hug and whisper Me too and give her a smile.
Then everyone congratulates each other and both of the families start talking about Matching Kundalies of the couples and further arrangements about their wedding functions and rituals.
