I flutter my eyes open feeling the warmth of the sun shining through my window.
I reach for my phone on my night stand and find a sticky note next to it. I read and saw it was from Jordan. I quickly added him in to my contacts and decided I would text him later.
I get up and take a shower and do all my daily morning stuff. I finally find myself on my couch doing nothing so I settle on texting Jordan.
You: Hey, I got your note, want to hang out later today? -Emma
It didn't take him long to reply.
Jordan: Of course, we can go to this coffee shop close by, it's really nice there.
You: Sounds great, meet ya in 30 mins?
Jordan: I'll come by :)
I put down my phone and walk to my closet to pick out some clothes.
I choose my high waisted jeans paired with a black sweater along with a grey scarf since a it's late fall currently.
I slip on my boots and walk over to my restroom and put my hair into a high ponytail.
I do my makeup, keeping it simple and grab all my 'going out' essentials.
I get a text from Jordan reading that he'll be over soon. I grab my bag and sit on my couch scrolling through tumblr waiting for him.
Not long after waiting I hear a knock. I walk to the door and am greeted with a smiling Jordan.
"Good morning, you look stunning." I give him a hug catching him by surprise. I let out a chuckle, "This was effortless Jordan." I say looking down at my lazy outfit.
"Wow, you're effortlessly beautiful. I call that talent." He says with a cheeky smirk.
"Stop, I don't take compliments well." He chuckles and moves out of the doorway, "Let's go shall we." He replies with an adorable smile.
I nod giggling, he lets me pass in front of him and closes the door behind me.
"You're a great guy Jordan. You really know how to lifts someone's mood." He clicks the elevator button down,
"I do what I can. I'm really sorry you have to go through all of this. I can't imagine how you feel." He says.
We walkout the elevator in silence.
After a while he speaks up, "So uh what are you into?" I look over to him as we walk side to side down the sidewalk.
"I have an interest in photography."
"That's really cool." He says with a smile.
We make it to the place called Cafe Bica. He opens the door open for me. "Thank you very much."
I walk in and I am greeted with the scent of coffee. This place is beautiful. It's very old looking.
Not many people here. Only an elder couple and a girl on her laptop.
Jordan and I walk up to the counter, "Hey Jordan." She greets him. I scan her, platinum short hair that reaches just above her shoulders, pale skin, dark blue eyes and about my age.
"Hey Sky, this is Emma she's new here and I thought I'd show her around."
She smiles at me, "Hey Emma, I'm Skyler." I smile back.
"Well what would you two like?" She asks, "I'll take my usual and, Emma?"
"Um, can I have the Caffé Mocha?"
She nods as she begins to prepare them. Jordan walks me over to a table
"So far how do you like Seattle?"
"I love it here, the weather is great I love the rain." I tell him, he chuckles, "You'll hate it before you know it." I let out a soft laugh.
"So eh, what are you into?" I ask. He tenses up a bit, "Oh well, I'm kinda big in games and well I make YouTube videos on them." He explains with a nervous smile.
"Wow, that's really amazing!" I tell him smiling, "Wait is that why those girls went up to you and Will?" He nods.
Skyler walks over with our drinks putting them on the table in front of us both. "Thanks." I say, she gives me a sweet smile.
"So not that it really matters but how many subs'?"
"Oh. Uh, nearly 90k." He says with a generous smile. "What the hell? Jordan, that's amazing!" I almost yell.
He chuckles, "Yeah they are all amazing."
"So uh, what about you? I really wanna learn more about you."
