Crathenians and Itramians have always lived side by side in the region of Verethen, also known as Eastern Crathenia by the Crathenians. After a military coup in the Kingdom of Itramia, many more Itramians fled west to Crathenia, where the government accepted them. As a result, Eastern Crathenia's Itramian diaspora became more and more significant over the years. However, the Itramians still face discrimination and conflict between the Crathenians and the diaspora was not uncommon. As a result, many Itramians in Crathenia began to demand for independence and in some cases, unite with their homeland. This led to the formation of a militia known as the Itramian Order, which launched attacks on areas populated by Crathenians. If there was one thing that both parties knew, it was the fact that war is inevitable.
