"What d'you want Hannah?"
"Oh nothing," she smirked '' A little birdie told me that you were in a soup kitchen yesterday."
"Don't you get paid from that noodle shop you work at, Noodle girl."
"Well unlike some stuck up princesses, some people have responsibilities." I said.
Hannah burst out laughing, " That's so funny, Pepper," she wiped a tear, "You know I could even give you some of my old clothes, at least that way you'll finally have designers, you look horrible when not on uniform."
"I never asked for fashion advice." I said getting up angrily.
"Watch it, beast. If you as much as lay your dirty hands on me, I'll make sure you lose your precious scholarship, Noodle girl." Hannah said.
Hannah said observing me as I calmed down before smirking and walking away.
I felt so mad, when I sat down I had completely lost my appetite.
After school as I was clearing my desk, Chelsea approached me again.
"Hey," She started.
I glared at her, she flinched a little bit but she continued talking, "Don't let Hannah's words get to you, she's just an insecure jerk."
"Okay you can quit your little angel act now," I said "No one's gonna judge you for making fun of the little poor hurricane. C'mon say it, call me ugly, lanky, dirty, poor."
Chelsea looked bad. "Sorr--"
"I don't need your pity." I said throwing my backpack across my back and leaving.
**********
When I got home, I saw mum lying on the couch knocked out from stress.
The house was a mess and it creaked and groaned like it would fall apart.
I sighed and proceeded to clean it, when I was done, I turned around and accidentally hit a framed photo.
I caught it just in time. I looked at the photo, we looked so happy back then, until the incident.
I put the framed photo back on the shelf carefully and wiped falling tears from my cheeks.
I walked into the kitchen and was looking for anything to cook, but there was nothing except for oil and a frozen can of beans.
I decided to put the beans in a bowl and put it in a microwave to heat up for mum.
All of a sudden there was a knock on my door.
