Stealth Elf: I know we haven't been a team for very long, but we've fought some pretty major bad guys. So a little Fire Viper shouldn't be a problem

Pop Fizz: Definitely not!

Jet-Vac: though I do take issue with the word "little"

The Fire Viper flew over to them screeching as Star Scale was terrified and hid behind the others

Spyro: Eh! Just a super-sized fire-breathing snake. I got this!

Spyro unfortunately didn't as he was tossed back as well as the others who tried as the Fire Viper hologram disappeared and Eon approached

Eon: I've never assembled a Skylander team who's failed the Fire Viper training simulation this many times

Hugo: But cheer up, gang. You should be proud you said a record for something!

Later the gang was then thinking about how they were going to beat the simulation

Spyro: *sighs* Come on, Spyro! That fire Viper simulation is the most basic one. I mean, it's the only monster we could actually run into without even leaving the academy

Stealth Elf: Totally. If we can't even beat that, we're not much of a team

Spyro: Oh. I… thought I was the only one who came here to think deep thoughts

Stealth Elf: Really? 'Cause it's kind of the only serene, contemplative spot on the isle

Eruptor: Totally

Pop Fizz: Yep

Star Scale: Agreed

Jet-Vac: What she said. I've actually been coming here since I was a cadet

Pop Fizz: And the clouds really help me focus. Like that one that's shaped like a Fire Viper!

Spyro: Well, I'm glad everyone is as thoughtful and self-reflective as, up until now, I thought only I was

Stealth Elf: Well, thinking about the Fire Viper simulation isn't beating the Fire Viper simulation, especially when Star is pretty scared of snakes, so, what are we gonna do?

Spyro: Speaking of, why are you so scared of snakes Star?

Star Scale: Oh. Well, there's a massive evil snake dragon that was sealed in a tomb years ago as it essentially eats other dragons and almost put the Skylands in total darkness

Spyro: Oh, well that's good to hear

Eon: I might have an idea to help you all. I have things to think about too, you know. Like what to do now that Kaos knows the location of the Core of Light

Spyro: Ooh, that is a thinker. But uh, if you had a plan to help us beat the Fire Viper simulation, maybe we could do that first, huh?

Later the gang were in the with Eon in the Great Library as he was explaining the plan as King Pen arrived

King Pen: Long ago, Master Eon and I fought side by side against two great foes. It was a difficult battle that we nearly lost

Eon: After which we vowed to do whatever we could to protect the Skylands. While I founded the academy…

King Pen: I went to work on this

Eruptor: A box? What? Is it not a box?

Eon: While I have been training Skylanders these many years, King Pen has been working to assemble a protector of the realm with unlimited skills and abilities. One who could operate as a one-man wrecking crew when Skylanders are unable to answer a call to arms
