CHAPTER 1

"harry come quick" hermione said rather urgently

"hermione what's going on" i asked

"you'll understand soon, bring teddy, now come" hermione said, i was at this point rather stumped but i collected my godson, as hermione apparated us

"why are we in St. mungo's" i asked

"we didn't want to get anybody's hopes up, but she's just awoken, come on" hermione said, pulling along her very exasperated best friend

"hermione" i said as she pulled me, to a room

"go on in, she's been waiting, to see that cute little bundle in your arms" hermione said, with a reassured smile, i looked at her worriedly, but entered the room, to find alive and mostly well, nymphadora tonks

"tonks" i blurted out

"can i see my son" she asked, as i very readily handed the boy over

"thank you harry, my mother has told me you have insisted on caring for teddy yourself, despite your young age" tonks said

"i know what it's like to not really have a family, and i thought your mother deserved a chance to grieve, but how are you alive" i asked

"the doctors said i was hit with a more physical spell, so there was a chance they could heal me, as opposed to the AK. madam pomfrey gave me the draught of living death to keep me alive, and i was shipped here, i was told it  wasn't a certainty i would survive, clearly i did, i heard remus wasn't so lucky, they actually didn't respond immediately to my request to see teddy, they told me that bit of news first, so i got my sobbing out of the way, then hermione went and got you, my mother told me that you always bring teddy to her, i think i figured out why, your staying at grimmauld aren't you" she explained, i shrugged

"it's the only place i could be alone, i recast the fidelius, hermione's the secret keeper, i may change that now that your alive" i said 

"what why" she asked

"i only hide there because i AM caring for teddy, i think it a bit more fair that the mother be aloud to protect her own child" i said, she gave a small smile

"thank you harry" tonks said

"i'm glad you woke up now, if you were two weeks later, you would have more distressing news besides the death of remus" i said

"why" tonks asked worriedly

"i'm leaving, after everything that's happened i'm not staying in britain, i'm gonna fix any damages with the goblins, claim my inheritance, and then head across the pond to america, i've outright bought the spencer condominium in new york, and intend to move into the penthouse" i said, she blinked surprised

"well then your right, i would be distraught by that, then i would have followed you to get my son back" tonks said

"as is your right, though you would have had to prove to me you were who you said you were first, i take my role as his godfather very seriously" i said

"so i've been told, by basically everyone" tonks said with chuckle, before smiling genuinely

"thank you harry" she said

"your family, so is he, i'd do this for anyone of my family" i said, she smiled

"well, would you mind if moved into grimmauld then" she asked

"of course not, i honestly expected you'd want to move in with your mother" i said

"are you insane you i moved out of there the first chance i got" tonks said

"yes always the rebellious one, good to see you are well harry" andromeda said as she entered the room

"and you, andi" i said

"andi" tonks asked

"i insisted, he should not be calling his family Mr. and Mrs., arthur and molly agreed with me" andromeda explained

"speaking of, what about you and ginny" tonks asked, and in response i just looked away

"she wasn't happy that i broke up with her a year ago, she didn't care that it was for her sake, she also said we both want two entirely different things in life, i had no real choice but to agree with her, i have been reacclimating myself with the muggle world, so we never got back together, something else i lost because of the damn war" i said

"oh come on harry there are plenty of other fish in the sea" tonks said

"yeah but finding the right one for me will be insanely difficult, since my fame has now jumped to infamous levels" i said bitterly, she flinched

"anyway, i'll leave teddy with you guys, i need to make an appointment with gringotts, and kingsley also wants to me to set up an appointment with him" i said, as i left

"harry has buried himself in work, he did most of the magical work involving rebuilding hogwarts himself, he has been diligently caring for teddy, he has also been taking up his obligations helping miss granger's family reacclimate, after their memories were restored, he just doesn't stop, we are getting exceedingly worried for his well being, miss granger has made attempts to help him, but he has closed her out, so to speak, he still speaks with her, but he refuses to allow anyone an in, he insisted on moving into grimmauld place, despite my giving him permission to ward my home, with whatever wards he wishes i even agreed to the fidelius but he refuses to allow anyone to help him" andromeda said

"i have a feeling that's how he grieves, because he doesn't know any other way, he has spent so many years with everyone expecting him to put on a strong front, the few of us that he felt he could turn to were dead by this point, so he did the one thing he was good at, burying his problems and hoping they'd go away" tonks said, the problem with that was that eventually one would break, then it clicked

"that's why he lives alone, he has kreacher to protect teddy, and a baby would never remember him showing weakness, why would he let me move in then" tonks asked herself

"he's letting you move in" andromeda asked surprised

"he actually suggested it" tonks said, andromeda paused, before nodding

"that sounds like harry, he wouldn't expect you to live alone, nor would he expect you to impose on anyone else, that poses either another problem or a solution" andromeda said

"will he bottle his emotions up further, or will he let it out in front of me, i think it will be the former" tonks said, seeing where her mother was going

"why" andromeda asked

"he said he was leaving in two weeks

"HE SAID WHAT" andromeda shouted
