I got changed quickly and I brushed out my hair. I picked up my phone, keys, and an extra scrunchie just in case. The place we were meeting wasn't too far from where I lived, only around 2 miles (35 min walk).
When I got there, Kanade was already waiting for me. She waved hello, "Hey Mafuyu, it's been a while since we've talked in-person."
"Indeed it has," I said with a small laugh. When we walked inside, there weren't many people in there. I was just listening to the calming music and breathing in the delicious smell.
"How've you been, Kanade?" I asked.
"I've been doing good. My house keeper Honami has been a pretty good help recently." I nodded.
"Nice! I really hope you're cleaning your bedroom up." She laughed. I loved that laugh. She set me free (by TWICE) from my mom. I wonder who that 'Honami' girl is...I guess I should find out.
We ate, talked and laughed until it was time to go home.
"Sorry, I have to go now. There's a project I'm working on at the moment," Kanade apologized.
"That's okay, I'll see you at 1:00?"
"See you at 1:00." On the way back home, I realized my mom was going to question me. OH MaFuYu WhERe WeRe yOu??? Why ArE YoU hOmE So LatE??? I wasn't very excited to say the least. I walked through the door and hell was unleashed.
"Mafuyu, what did I say about going out without telling me or your dad!?" I sighed, "That I shouldn't do it." She was being really annoying. "Exactly! So don't do it! What about becoming a DOCTOR!?!? If you don't study, you won't achieve your dreams!" I gritted my teeth.
"I don't want to be a doctor! How many times do I have to tell you!? And what does hanging out with my friends have anything to do with becoming a doctor!?" She gasped.
"You...don't want to become a doctor? What your dream? You said you wanted to be a doctor."
"I was a kid. I grew up mom, it's not that hard to understand." I walked up to my room and closed the door before focusing on 'Honami.' Who was she? I should probably find out soon. But for now, I count this as a new opponent.
