The last place Brian wanted to be in was this. He was being treated by Dominick Toretto. Just a few hours ago he was offered to get involved with the guy's case and go undercover. He couldn't think straight, he couldn't breathe. He was just in a crash during a car chase. He wasn't even involved he just wanted to see what was going on. Big mistake.

One moment he was turning a corner when suddenly he was sent upside down, the next he saw people hovering over him, he looked down at his body and saw he had a shard a metal sticking out of his side. He instantly grew scared. He wasn't a doctor, but he knew this was a terrible place to be stuck in.

One moment everything was fine. The next Dom and his crew heard squealing tires followed by a horrific crashing sound, Dom instantly remembered his fathers' car accident and ran to see what happened followed by his friends.

They saw a silver car upside down, it looked destroyed. Dom felt the need to help, he didn't care if it was because he'd just flashed back to his father's death.

He ran over, his friends following behind him. Dom knelt down and saw a bloodied blonde headed male on his back in a curled position.

Dom felt for a pulse and put his hands around the guy's neck keeping it as straight as possible, Vince then helped open the car doors before the two pulled the guy out of the car as gentle as they could.

They made sure he remained still on the ground while they looked him over. There were a few shards sticking out of the guy's abdomen when they felt something in the guy's jacket pocket.

Thinking it was the guy's wallet Dom reached inside and pulled out a police badge.

Dom as well as the rest of his crew paused in shock, this guy looked younger than all of them, yet he was police. They were helping a cop.

They suddenly froze, unsure of how to continue, they heard sirens and figured it was an ambulance, one of the other cops must have reported it in before continuing after the car.

The guy suddenly opened his eyes, wandering down to his abdomen. After an initial freak out moment he tried to remain calm due to being held down.

He finally realized who were helping him. It was Dominick Toretto and his crew.

Brian didn't know how to feel at the moment.

They obviously knew he was a cop now there was no way they hadn't seen his badge, they looked like they were about to walk away. He didn't notice the tears gathering in his eyes until they fell down his face.

He instantly felt like a fool, but once he started crying, he couldn't stop. He knew he was in bad shape, and regardless of who he was with, he didn't want to die.

The crew was in shock when they realized what was happening, the cop had looked terrified to see them, he obviously knew who they were and knew they knew that he was a cop; but the thing he first said wasn't anything they expected.

"No, Oh no, please! I don't want to die, Please." Brian pleaded with them. He didn't care at the moment; they were the ones who were there.

"Please don't leave me here!" Brian begged. He fully expected them to leave him to die in the street because he was a cop.

They were all in shock; they hadn't expected to bear witness to a cop's breakdown. Dom had heard enough.

"Calm down. The ambulance is around the corner. We won't leave you." He'd reassured. Brian stopped his freak out before he embarrassed himself further and literally had a sigh of relief.

"Thank you. Thank you." He kept repeating.

The crew didn't know how to feel, were they portrayed as monsters to younger cops?

Like they would leave people to die on the pavement? They just liked racing. Being reckless, feeling alive.

They liked the adrenaline rush; but the cop had acted like he was told they weren't even human.

That made them angry.

"What did you think? That we were murderers?" Dom asked.

Brian froze in fear on the spot, Dom's eyes were practically throwing daggers.

Dom could tell that was a yes. "What did your higher ups even say? That we're monsters with no remorse? That we'd stab anyone who gets in the way?" Vince scowled.

Brian was practically hyperventilating. Growing terrified by the second, this could get bad if they don't like what they hear. They are quite literally holding his life in their hands right now and they are getting angry by the fact they don't like what they hear.

"P-please. That's what they think, I don't know." Brian begged. His chest was hurting really badly at this point. The crew felt sympathy for the kid.

Dom really didn't like the things he was being told. And the fact this kid thought they were going to hurt him really said words on what the force thought of him.

"What do they say about us kid. This mean there is a case going against us right now?" Dom asked, his crew looking down at the kid who froze, all wide-eyed. Looks like they had their answer.

Dom glowered. The kid gave him the answers he needed. Now he needed to get out of here before the cops come and think of a charge to bring him up on. Too late.

The ambulance pulled up right beside the crew and immediately got to work.

That brought the crew back to reality, the cops hadn't even shown up when the kid crashed.

The crew wondered why. The kid was put on a stretcher and the paramedics went to put him in the ambulance when Dom climbed in the back with the kid. Who looked terrified, meanwhile the crew stayed back at the house waiting for instructions.

The paramedics put a mask on the kid when he was having trouble breathing. Mainly due to panic because Dom was there. From the ride down to waiting in the room when they were finished treating the kid, Dom was there waiting.

He fully expected police to come by when they heard one of their own was in hospital, he hadn't expected for that to only be a few. He hid while they spoke.

Brian didn't see Dom when he woke up, he spoke to a couple of colleagues for a while before falling asleep for a few hours.

When he woke up again, he looked over to see Dom in his hospital room. He gasped in surprise about to scream for his buddies to come back when Dom's hand went over his mouth.

Dom didn't want to scare the kid, but he was about to scream so he muffled his mouth before he could utter a word.

"Shut up Brian. You owe me at least this for saving your life." Dom knew that was a dick move but it got the kid to stop screaming while he pretended to not notice the dreaded panic in Brians eyes.

"I had my guy check you out. I know all about you. Relax, I'm not going to hurt you." Dom said, Brians heartbeat calmed down a little.

"What d- what do you want from me.?" Brian whispered.

Brian knew crying didn't make a damn difference, but he was vulnerable in a hospital bed with one of the most notorious gang members in all of L.A hovering over him after the so-called murderer saved his life and made sure he didn't die before he even GOT to the hospital.

Dom just smiled. "You. I want you to shadow my company for a while off the records, see what we do. Don't report this to your cop buddies. We aren't murderers, we aren't gang members. We are simply people who love the adrenaline rush." Dom said smiling.

He was being recruited, he felt like he was absolutely fucked.
