Chapter four: prince

'It is cold...' your mind thinks as you are starting to wake up slowly.

At first, your vision is blurry, but as it becomes clear you can see your eyes are looking at a set of lights placed on the ceiling. Confused you quickly stand up looking around not sure of where you are located, other than the fact it is a room. It may be a hotel, maybe a fancy one as the room looks far too big for your normal basic room.

"sei pronto (your up)?" You hear behind you which causes you to break your neck.

It's that pink-haired boy with freckles from the diner, but you still aren't able to remember his name right now so you ask "So question, how did I get here...?"

He looks at you for a few seconds before saying "I found you passed out in the snow when I was driving, so I took you here out from the cold"

You look at him for a few seconds confused about his statement, as you wonder why he didn't take you to the hospital instead of a hotel.

He comes closer to you and places a water glass next to you filled with water.

He smiles at you and says "Ecco qui (here you go), thought you would like some water."

Your mind snaps back into reality, so you quickly say "Oh Grazie (thank you)" slowly taking the glass. Your eyes notice something also, which causes you to stop.

"What's wrong?" The boy says looking at you now confused.

You then for some reason say "Your eyes, I never noticed that they are green..."

The boy jolted a bit back shocked before then saying "Green???"

"Yes, a pretty shade of it too, lucky," you said standing from the bed and looking around the room.

"Wait you find them pretty?" He asked looking at you.

You nodded but not paying him any attention as you took a sip of the water.

Your eyes then notice the clock in the room and you then say loudly "SHIT I FUCK UP!!!" This caused you to stand up now rushing out of the room.

"Wait Y/N, where are you going?" Asked the boy which causes you to stand thinking hard about his name.

Then it hits you that his name is "I am sorry Doppio...." you wait to see how he reacts but he doesn't seem to be offended so you then sign with relief thinking that you said his name correctly.

"I'm sorry Doppio, but you see I was walking to get some air, and seeing it been hours without me having a phone around I know my friend who I left at my apartment maybe called the search team on me...." you say looking at him sheepishly not sure if that was enough to explain to put him at ease.

"Want me to drive you home?" Doppio asked you now with a smile.

"Wait you have a car?" You asked which now hearing it sounded dumb, so you quickly said while putting your hands up and waving them around "Wait no need to answer that, I know you have a car, I saw you drive it from the diner time from time"

That's when you heard a bit of a laugh, causing you to look at Doppio's face which has dimples in his smile. But he tried to cover his face before he burst into laughter.

"Scusa (sorry)..." Doppio says looking off to the side.

"Well if your offering to drive me, I be grateful," you say to Doppio.

"Oh- yeah, can you please inform me of where you live?" Doppio asked you as he put on his coat.

As you both are walking, you tell him the address of your home as you make your way to his car. You stop mid-way when you now are fully close to it and see how much of a luxury brand name this car is.

"Qualcosa non va? (Is something wrong?)" Asked Doppio who has opened the passer car door for you.

You blink a few times before asking "Say you a prince aren't you?"

Doppio gives off a slight smirk at the corner of his mouth, as he lowers his head shaking it with an expression that reads disbelief. "A prince, how so Y/N?" He finally asked you in a curious-sounding tone.

You also shake your head before saying in a joke-ful matter "Because you for one book a hotel room that is fit for a world leader, two you have a car that is ten times the cost of where I live, and three you wear luxury brands."

With a smirk that almost looks look crooked to you Doppio asked "And that makes me a prince?"

You rolled your eyes walking closer to Doppio who still had the car door opened, saying in a sarcastic tone "Or you a whole secret CEO to a company, and this is the part I was placed into a romance story where a normal girl meets the boss of the company."

With an eyebrow raised to you, Doppio then says "I am no secret boss to a large company now Y/N."

"Ah, so it's the prince route I was given, noted," you say now stepping into the car with a smile.

Doppio is now smiling, as he closes the door for you making his way inside the driver's side.

"But I am curious about how you make this much money now," you say looking out at the distance and enjoying the view of the scenery as Doppio starts to drive.

"Well let's say I am a personal secretary to a big CEO now," Doppio says while keeping his focus on driving.

"Damn it, I was close in my guessing," you say laughing a bit.

"Yeah it almost was," Doppio says with a bit of laughing in it.

"But must be nice to make such a good income where you can live so comfortably in a world like this," you say in a bit of a sad tone.

Doppio then says in a joking way "Well I am looking for a girl I could spoil, thinking about applying for it?"

"Sure after, I get a fairy Godmother and become pretty" you respond in an equally joking way.

"Your boyfriend must be some lucky guy to have a fun girlfriend like you," Doppio says a bit almost bitter.

"Me with another guy, that's funny," you say joking.

"Wait a girl like you is single?" Doppio asked in shock.

You give him a look of Are you blind before saying "Yeah I ain't not many guys think I am pretty"

"Well they are blind, as Y/N from how it looks like in my eyes you are such a beauty," Doppio says which causes you to almost blush.

"Doppio you such a sweetheart," you say to him with a smile.

"Say Y/N, wanna go on a date with me?" Doppio asked you.
