Kai Chisaki

It is well known that Chisaki Kai was with a young woman by the name of Rose-who was stubborn and a female version of the male. They got along most of the time, when they didn't it was due to how Chisaki would handle Eri and the unique quirk that Eri had. Rose treated the young girl a lot differently than Chisaki had, which made Eri want to be around her more than him. It irritated him to no end that the child that was left under his watch wanted nothing to do with him.

He kept telling Rose not to be soft with the child but she never listened, which always ended up with them arguing and not sleeping around one another-even though they were together. Kai would lock her out of the room they were supposed to share for the night so Rose would always sleep beside the young child for company. Which the child didn't mind, what Chisaki hadn't thought about was how much tension was stored within the woman.

The others that worked with him knew about it and it was Chrono who chose to do something about it as it got close to rose's birthday. Chrono chose to ask Rose in front of Chisaki what she wished for her birthday, hearing the question that chrono asked her made Chisaki stiffen knowing that he had forgotten that her birthday was coming up soon.

"Miss Santos, may I inquire what you wish to have for your birthday this year?" Chrono asked curiously

"Nothing, I'm not that important here. Just forget about me and my birthday alright? There are better things to have your attention on." Rose said waving him off as she went back to her work

Chisaki looked at Rose sadly, had he done something wrong to make her think the way she had? He knew in the past she would have asked for a new book or at least something, but not this year. What had he had done wrong to make her think that she wasn't important anymore? "Rose, is...is it because of me that you don't wish to have your birthday celebrated?" Chisaki asked sadly

She ignored his question and finished her work before shutting the notebook. "My work here is done, I'm going to check up on Eri now." Rose said ignoring his question all together

When she had left the room and the door shut, Chisaki knew something was wrong. He looked at Chrono sadly. "Do you remember anything I may have said to her to make her say something so horrible?"

"Yes actually, many times you've spoken to Rose how much you detest many things about how she is and how you wished that she hadn't won the heart of Eri years ago. You had made it rather clear that you have no intention on being as romantic towards her as you once were to her."

Chisaki let out a small sigh before he looked at Chrono "She's acting like this due to being tense isn't she?"

"That among other things, Do you know how much your girlfriend...if I should even still call her that, relies on the significance of the relationship you once had with her?"

He was silent as he realized that it had been a long while since he had been romantic towards Rose, that her going to Eri was her way of not showing just how much she hated how he treated her. Chisaki didn't remember the last time the two of them truly spent time together as a couple, it internally hurt him to know that he had done so much damage to the young woman he had fallen for so many years ago.

"I know what we're doing for her birthday-I'm going to need your help."

"Of course sir, anything you need."

As it came to the day of Rose's birthday, Chrono had done what Chisaki had asked him to do and take the young woman out for her to see whatever movie she wanted with Eri. As the duo were out Chisaki's real plan came to be, Once Rose came home he heard Chrono take Eri down to her room as he told Rose to wait for a moment. Rose stayed put as she let out a sigh.
