In a quaint little restaurant, she waits,
For a taste of life, for a change in fates.
The kitchen door, her hopeful gaze,
Yet disaster looms in a patience maze.
Patiently yearning for a chef's delight,
But quality service stays out of sight.
Disappointment grows, yet she's attached,
To a hope that's repeatedly unmatched.
I wish she'd glance out through the glass,
See someone waiting, wanting to amass,
Not romantic love, but service sincere,
To provide what she deserves, crystal clear.
A day will come when happiness blooms,
When life's beauty dispels all glooms.
No more fantasies of an untimely end,
Just love for life, a true, loyal friend.
One day, as a bird, she'll fly free,
Singing tunes of her newfound glee.
A genuine smile gracing her face,
Finally leaving that restaurant space.
