Gasping.

Crying out for help.

Sobbing.

Surrounded by sorrow, the creature before her licks its lips.

"Please don't hurt me," she would cry out. "I don't want to die."

The creature had no sense of mercy. It was hungry, and finally found the human it needed.

With a low growl, it raised its claws. The girl whimpers, shrinking away in fear.

With a slash and a scream, the floors splattered with blood, the monster had eaten the little girl alive.

Teeth ripped apart flesh.

Bones crunching and snapping.

The cries of the girl had died with her soul.

The creature wheezes excitedly. It could finally walk into the moonlight. It could finally fulfill the duties it needed to.

It could finally serve Her Majesty.

The creature forms into the human, trilling happily.

It had become the physical appearance of the little girl, but more twisted. Her eyes were pitch black. Her hair was no longer a beautiful brown, but instead a dull dark gray.

It had to hurry, as it heard the parents of the little girl stomping up the stairs. With an adrenaline filled snarl, it got on all fours and jumped out of the window, shattering the glass.

Some of the shards had stuck into the human's skin, but the creature didn't mind. The pain felt good.

The freedom felt good.

It runs into the forest, back to the little cottage it lived, basking in the moonlight gleefully.

It was no longer bound to the mercy of the sun.

It was no longer trapped within the confines of the light.

The idea of being free, of succeeding as the creature it was, it let out a growl of satisfaction.

Such a merciless creature had finally been released into the wild of the night.

A stalking hunter in the day.

A horrible predator in the night
