Chapter 7: A New Connection

After their heartwarming dinner, Taehyung and Yeontan returned home, but Taehyung couldn't shake the thought of Y/N from his mind. Her kindness and angelic presence had left an indelible mark on him. As he lay in bed, he turned to Yeontan, the Pomeranian companion he cherished so much.

Taehyung spoke to Yeontan in hushed tones, sharing his thoughts. "Yeontan, I'm curious about Y/N. She's such a nice person, and I'd love to get to know her better. What do you think about visiting her at the vet's tomorrow and picking up some delicious treats for you?"

Yeontan responded with an enthusiastic bark, clearly in favor of the idea. Taehyung's smile widened, and he felt a rush of excitement. He couldn't wait to see Y/N again.

The following morning, Y/N arrived at the vet clinic, bundled up against the chill of the early hours. To her surprise, she spotted a customer waiting outside with his dog. Something about the dog seemed familiar, and Y/N couldn't help but question, "Taehyung, is that you?"

Taehyung turned around, his face lighting up with a charming boxy smile, while Yeontan added a cute bark to the greeting. He explained that he didn't know her work schedule, so he came early and decided to wait. Y/N found his gesture incredibly cute and invited them inside to escape the cold.

Once in the clinic, Y/N turned on the lights, and Taehyung began browsing the treats section for Yeontan. He looked through the available options and seemed to be taking his time choosing. Y/N watched with curiosity, wondering how to engage in a conversation.

Before she could formulate her thoughts, she decided to break the silence and asked, "Would you like to get coffee after you're done with your purchase? I don't have any appointments right now, and I know this great little cafe nearby."

Taehyung's face lit up with delight as he accepted her invitation. He hurriedly added the treats to his basket and paid, eager to join her for coffee.

As they left the clinic, Y/N directed Taehyung to a cozy cafe she frequented. He couldn't help but notice the happiness in her eyes as she entered the familiar spot. Over coffee and pastries, they engaged in a delightful conversation, sharing stories and getting to know each other better.

As time passed, Y/N reluctantly checked the clock and realized she needed to return to work. Taehyung, not wanting the connection to end, asked for her personal number to keep in contact. Y/N smiled warmly and shared her number, and Taehyung saved it with a grin.

They said their goodbyes, and as Y/N headed back to the clinic, Taehyung hugged Yeontan and shared his feelings. "Yeontan, I think she might be the one." Yeontan barked in agreement, and Taehyung couldn't stop smiling, gazing at Y/N's number in his contacts. A new connection had been forged, and it held the promise of something beautiful and unexpected.
