One rainy night a single mom told her daughter they would be visiting someplace nice the next day.. "Mama where are we going?" the little girl asked "We will go to the prettiest bridge in Maryland! The plants are so pretty the doctors said that this trip will help heal your sickness." mom said. "So I will feel better?""Yes my love, Let me see your arm." The girls mother pulls up her white sweater. The little girls arm was rapped in bandages. She unraveled the layers. Her arm was almost completely green, She had blisters over her green skin. "Ow mamma that hurts." The girl said tears rolling down her face. "It's getting worse.." The mother whispered to herself. "Mamma will I be ok?" The girl said stumbling over her words. "Yes my love,Let's get to bed." She started getting new bandages and rapped them around her daughters arm. She held her daughters hand and led her to her room. They walked into her room. The little girl rubbed her finger across her flower wallpaper as she walked over to her little princess bed. Her mother reached into her drawer to get her pajamas, She walked over to her daughters bed where she was sitting. "Put your arms up." the mother told her. The little girl raised her arms and the mom pulled off her sweater and took off her little pink skirt. She put her arms through the night gown and started to pull it down. "There we go, are u ready for bed?" The mother asked. "Yes mama i'm but can you please check under the bed i'm afraid."The little girl asked. Without a response the mother nodded her head and smiled. She got on her hands and knees to look, she came back up and reassured her daughter nothing was there. "Goodnight it's time for bed now." Her mother said as she was tucking her in. "Goodnight mama cya tomorrow." The girl yawned and drifted to bed. The mother got up and walked out of the room, she turned off her lights and closed her door. She walked over to the room down the hall. The mother sat on her bed and rolled up her sleeve so she could see her wrist. "It's spreading faster i gotta stop this" Like her daughter she had caught the sickness her daughter had, her wrist had two splotches of green. The mother changed and got into bed and turned off her light and went to sleep.
The next morning her mother woke up early and got up to make eggs. The little girl woke up and came to the kitchen. The mother set her plate of eggs onto the table. The girl hopped onto her chair and began eating. "When you're done i want you to go and get some clothes for you to wear." The mother told her daughter. She nodded yes and kept eating. Her mother sat at the table and examined her daughter she noticed the green had spread from on her arm to a part of her face, her cheek was turning green and her lips were pale. Her mother looked for awhile and started to tear up, She wiped her tears before her daughter could see. The little girl stepped down off of her chair and put her dirty dish in the sink then she walked to her room. The mother put her hands over her face and started to think if what she was gonna do was worth it. After a few minutes the little girl came out of her room and told her mom she was ready to go. With that her mom got up and left the house. They walked to the bridge together. Once they arrived her daughter looked and touched all of the pretty flowers and vines on the bridge. Her mother played with her daughter, She put her daughter on the ledge."Look mamma ima bird!" The little girl told her mother "I'm sorry.." The mother said. "Why mam-" Her mother pushed her off the bridge and immediately regretted what she did. The little girls screams got quieter and quieter until it stopped. Her mother put her hands over her mouth and was silent, she looked over the ledge to see. The water was pretty shallow which meant her body hit the ground with a lot of force. Her mother just stared and thought "my baby.." , a few seconds went by and she saw the clear water turn wine red. Her mother fell to the floor and started crying. "Why did i do that? She didn't deserve that..." She told herself. "I'm sorry my sweet girl please forgive me." she yelled out. "I dont forgive you." A voice came from beside her. She quickly looked over and saw her daughter. But something was off she wasn't like herself she looked normal and no sickness but an angry and disappointed look. Her mother just stared and turned her head. "No you're just my imagination you're not real." She whispered. "I'm not but you will pay me back for my death." the voice appeared again. Her mom jumped up and ran towards the police station. "I NEED TO TURN MYSELF IN" she yelled breathing heavily "Ma'am calm down what happened" "I KILLED MY DAUGHTER IM SO SORRY." She said. "SHE HAD A DISEASE IT WAS SO BAD I JUST HEARD THINGS OK PLEASE HELP." she told him. Shortly after they found out she was schizophrenic and was mentally unstable. She was sent to a mental institution. Alone with her thoughts. "You meant to do this to me." The voice said. She looked around to see who was talking "Who are you, I'm sorry i didn't mean for this to happen" she said starting to cry. The spirit of the girl started choking her mother. "Now we can be together again mama" the voice came again. The mother didn't even fight and died. Now the daughter haunts the bridge and infects who ever comes and chants "I'm sorry i didn't mean it"
