The Bridge of Sickness

The Present

*phone rings* (Mari answers Brookes phone call) "Hey Mari!" "Heyy Brooke what's up?" Mari said. "I already asked Ansley if she wanted to come over shes coming do you wanna come over and hang out? my parents are out of town for a few weeks so we can stay up and y'all can stay longer." Brooke Told Mari. "Oh my goodness yes!! I've been waiting for this!" *phone breaks up* "Hello? Mari you there?" Brooke asked. "Y-yea sorry, my little sister Clare is being annoying. I can go but my sister would have to be dropped off a few times my parents have work all winter break." Mari says. "Yeah thats cool, Ya'll can come tomorrow." Brooke answers "Ok I'll see y'all tomorrow!" Mari says. *They hang up the phone.*

*Ansley knocks onto Brookes door.*  (Brooke looks through the peep hole) "It's Ansley!" Brooke yells out to Mari sitting on the couch. Brooke opens the door to let her in. Ansley takes off of her coat and puts it on the rack. They both walk to the living room. "Hey do y'all wanna watch scary movies tonight?" Brooke asked. "yes!!" Ansley yelled "Yess, but we have to wait after Clare goes to sleep to watch the good ones" Mari told them. Clare looks up annoyed "No! i want to watch! No fair.." Clare yells at Mari and pouts. They all hang out until night came. Clare was getting annoyed "You guys are boring i'm going to sleep." Clare stated and marched out of the room. Ansley reads an article. "Hey guys.. This article is creepy." They all read the article about the little girl and her mom, about the sickness and how she supposedly haunted the bridge"Hey thats only a few miles away" Brooke tells them. "Yo I have a good idea. We should go there tonight" Ansley says. "It says the little girls spirit haunts the bridge. We can't leave Clare" Mari says. "Lame" Brooke mumbles. Mari smiles and shoves Brooke around. "Fine let's go get Clare" Mari says. "finally." Ansley whispers. Mari walks to the room and opens the cracked door. "Hey Clare you wanna do something fun?" Mari whispers. Clare turns around. "yes" she replies. "Alright let's go" Mari responds.  Clare walks out of bed tucks in her stuffed animal and follows Mari. "Alright shes in, let's go" Mari shouts. Ansley and Brooke look at each other. Ansley walks toward the front door where Clare and Mari are standing, Brooke runs to the counter, grabs her keys and jogs toward the door. They walk out of the door and gets into the car. "Where are we going?" Clare asks. Ansley explains the story. "apparently if pretend to push someone off the bridge and scream shes supposed to come alive and haunt you, to be honest it's probably fake." Ansley says. Clare gets a bit spooked but thinks it's fake as well. Clare pokes at  Mari until she looks down. "Finally we're doing something fun but why does it have to be so scary?" Clare asked.
