"You don't need to stay next to me... My roommate has left, which leaves me searching for a new one." Tew wounds his hand with Kong's, juggling back and forth. As they exited their classroom. "Isn't it exciting?"
Kongpob looks up from his mobile, tucking it back into his pocket after replying to Arthit. The teasings he received from Tew not bothering him anymore, he likes messaging Arthit too. Which, of course, in the start wasn't his preference, but over the days though came to love it, because, in the end, he can make Arthit less worried. He doesn't know exactly what Arthit is concerned about.
But he is grateful that Arthit is always okay with sharing his free time with Kongpob. Which sometimes troubles him too, to think that Arthit doesn't quite have anyone in his life. Or does he? But Kongpob isn't knowing yet. Like all the other things, there's a possibility Arthit might be hiding that person from Kong. He isn't doubting Arthit, only hoping that Arthit doesn't abandon him too. Cause he fears, like Evan, he'll also become someone Arthit will refuse to acknowledge. The thought itself squished his insides.
"It is." Kongpob smiles at his best friend. A worried forced smile.
Nova wasn't having it when Kongpob refused decently. She was instead more provoked to grab a hold of Kong. He was guilty as it is to deceive Arthit, hiding Nova's messages and calls. The kind Kongpob couldn't block her either. Nova was elevating her game, disturbing Kong more and more. At times he wishes to be beside Arthit because only then he is allowed to turn his phone off.
"I was waiting for this day, Kong." Tew pouts, walking backward in his trance. Grabbing Kong along. As they make their way into the canteen. "You've started to spend time with your boyfriend than with your best friend and I know it is wrong but I do feel jealous that I can't have my friendly time with you anymore."
"Almost half of the day I'm with you," Kong argues, matching Tew's undecided steps. "Besides, you're more busy now that you've got your lover."
"Well..." Tew grinned, shrugging his shoulders. "Meeting Oziel right at the beach was thrilling... Plus he's so damn hot."
He shook his head and chuckled. He wasn't surprised when Tew didn't use Phi while calling his boyfriend. Tew is very casual with everyone around and ends up assuming all are okay with it. Kongpob wanted little of the guts Tew had.
"Don't start again," Kongpob whined softly. He didn't mind listening to his chatter for longer hours. But when Tew starts speaking of his new boyfriend, Kongpob feels drained out when he keeps repeating everything like a lovesick.
Kongpob was about to take his next step when he got swirled. Bumping into Arthit's arms. He closed his eyes with the impact. Dropping his arms, surrendered like a good boy.
Arthit raises one hand to cup his cheek, the other draped over his back. Holding him safely. "Hey Petal, it's P'Arthit... Open your eyes."
The younger blushes but does what he is told. Meeting Arthit's out-of-the-world precious face. Smiling down at him, making his mind sedate looking at the serene glow that Arthit carries with him.
"Hey Kongpob..." Tew roars in the background. "It was Tew... Well, fuck your boyfriend."
Kongpob panics. Hearing the disappointed angry tone. He tried turning his face, only for Arthit to hold him firmly. The tight smile made him tear up. The coldness from Arthit settled down on his skin with goosebumps.
"He is upset." Kong whimpers, dropping his gaze. "Can I go talk to him?"
Tew was bound to get angry. He has been neglecting him for the past few days. While the other had been such a great pal.
