"I'm MC....who are you?" The person replied in a slightly defensive tone. You could tell they were weary of you right off the bat.

"I'm MC too." You replied. The frown they gave you didn't go unnoticed.

"That can't be possible. Who are you really?" They asked, taking a step forward.

"It is possible... because we are the same person."

"What are you talking about?" They asked again.

Had your Barbatos not explained the whole time situation to them? You thought with an annoyed sigh.

"I'm you and you're me, we're from different universes. That book you dropped by the doorway...Barbatos gave it to you did he not?" You asked, showing them the matching book in your hand.

"He did. Why do you ask?" They questioned picking up the book.

"This was the cause of what happened between us. Have you not realized the demon brothers you've been hanging around with were awfully clingy and needy" you asked. Their answer was something you had been waiting to hear due to the reputation they had in their original universe.

"That does make sense...but why are you bringing this up?"

"Because our souls switched. We had both been reading this book at the same time one night and the next morning it switched our souls. Mine went to your universe and yours went to mine."

The confused look that plagued their face was one that brought surprise to yours.

"Had Barbatos not informed you?"

"I haven't spoken to him much. I'm not fond of the butler to be honest. But I've been getting better" they said with a sigh.

"You've been getting better?"

"Yeah, with interacting with demons"

"Did you have trouble talking to them or something?"

Your question provoked an offended look on their face and they quickly responded. "I hated demons so I didn't talk to them much is all. However the brothers...well I suppose your brothers helped me"

"They helped you? In what way?" A part of you hoped they wouldn't say what you thought it was.

"I had a talk with them after getting into it with Belphie. But he apologized for everything that happened in the attic, all of them also made it a point to include me and not overstep boundaries" they explained, the frown on their face disappearing ever so slightly as they continued to speak.
