In fact, the three of them were just in time to witness the start of Madara's fight with the 5 kage.

The sight of the field said that he'd already torn through most of the lesser shinobi ranks.

"Whoa..." Wally was stunned. "That's some...massive destruction... Are they all dead?"

"They don't look alive," Dabi said, grimacing.

"Something's been affected because of us," Shine noted, in a low voice. "Ay and Tsunade weren't here this early before. Neither was Mei... Things changed when I warned Gaara, clearly, and them... Maybe just Temari asking us to come here already started something shifting."

"Temari would have been here to see the start of this," Dabi noted. "Word could have spread faster, since she and Gaara contacted Shikamaru... You might have made the kage move faster. I don't know for sure how this works, but why does it matter now?"

"Because as many are lying dead here," Shine said, "it looks like less than before...at least I think. I didn't exactly memorize that detail, but originally they lost half the force just on day one, and so did the enemy. I don't know if we were in time to lessen that number, but they'd probably have lost at least another third of their remaining force just to the 10 Tails and Madara, if things went on the same way. It looks a bit better here to me."

"Temari would know," Wally said. "There, she's behind that wall of sand."

They ran to her.

Temari was watching Gaara and the others duke it out, with a worried expression.

But she broke into an adorably relieved smile when she saw them. "Oh, thank God that you showed up," she said, literally. "I was starting to wonder where you were... Did you get Kabuto? But you did. All the others stopped coming, right?"

"Yes, he released the jutsu, but I can't say he's been captured," Shine said. "This kind of took the attention of the ninja who could have done that."

Temari sighed. "Of course it did... Still, that was something."

"We hear you lost half your force yesterday," Wally said. "What about now?"

"I thought we were dead when the Raikage summons was kicking our a--," Temari said. "But Naruto's clone helped us with that... Then Madara was there, but he didn't do anything for a while, just talked to this other summoned guy. But then he moved, and he would have wrecked us, but the 5 kage came sooner than I thought they would. I'd say he took out at least a 6th of us, even with them trying to stop him, but others were able to run for it. They caught the other guy. So...I don't know. He's still going strong."

The Susanoo was huge and towered over them.

"Yes..." Shine said distastefully. "Gross. These spirits are clearly evil. They don't even try to hide it."

"Well, shinobi don't like the word evil," Temari said. "That's your thing, but I agree... It's evil. Gaara wants to break more of it though, but he's tired...and the others don't even know how our authority works... I was able to knock him back, but that was all I did. He's healing instantly."

"Even that's pretty impressive, considering," Wally said, "I mean...that's what you were up against."

He glanced up at Madara. "Even Supes would have to bat an eye at that thing... So, Shine, can we fight it?"

"I believe I can help Gaara work on how to inflict more damage, but he's likely to just run for it," Shine said. "Madara won't stay there to get the crap beat out of him if he starts to lose his advantage. He'll go to Obito. Perhaps he even can't help it...or he wants it. He already knew him when he's dead, which doesn't help."
