This was super uncomfortable, we had only been driving for a minute or two but it felt like forever. You took your mask off with a soft sigh. There's no reason to have it on anymore. Finally, he said something "What's your name darlin?"

"Y/N. I don't think you'll turn me in, seeing how you don't seem to mind the situation, but I don't think you're just some guy. Who are you really?" You asked, facing him. He was enjoying this. He had a big grin on his face.

"Well Y/N it's good to meet you. It's not everyday I meet people like us." He looked over at you then back at the road, the grin never leaving his face. "People like us? So you're a murderer too.. Is it just you here? I remember hearing on the radio about mussing persons last seen around this area. I can only assume that was you and someone else." You asked curiously.

"My, you're bold, huh? Nah its not just me, I've got my family to help me out." He said with confidence. 'Family huh? He's weirdly open about all of this, especially with a starger.' You thought. "So... Whats your reason?" You asked. "Reason? For killin? Oh, now thats a second date question darlin." He laughed to himself. You rolled your eyes slightly at his remark.

"Fine then I wont tell you anything about me." You crossed your arms. 'I'll admit I'm quite curious about Johnny and the kind of man he is. I haven't known him long, but I already know he's not like any other guy.'

He laughed again. "Fine, we do it to survive. Times are tough around here, food can be scarce." He admitted in a deep tone. It was almost like he was trying to scare you.

You looked at him with shock. "You're cannibals? Wow I've met quite a few serial killers and I must say this is a new one for me." You looked at him, full of curiosity. 'I wonder what this kind of life was like. I've never tried human meat before, or maybe I have and didnt know it. I've had dinner with plenty of sketchy people.' You thought to yourself.

Johnny looked slightly disappointed seeing how you weren't fazed by it but then became curious. "You've met more serial killers? Your life must be full of excitement. Now that I've told you my reason, what's yours?" He asked while continuing to look back and fourth at the road and you.

"I get paid to kill." You say bluntly. He looked at you with confusion. "You can be paid to kill people?!" You chuckled slightly. "Yes you can, and it pays well. You have to be flexible though, and do everything your client asks of you."

He let out a short hum in response. "How much do you make?" He asked. "That's a second date question." You said with a smirk. He laughed a bit. "Where are you staying darlin? I can drop you off." You thought hard about it before looking back at him. "Fine. Im staying at the motel downtown."

He smirked to himself and turned onto another road. "You're staying there? How long are you in town for?" The truck soon came to a stop after reaching the destination. You grabbed the latch before speaking. "A few days but not any longer." You got out of the truck and shut the door behind you.

"Well i'd love to see you again before you leave. How about we go have some fun tomorrow night?" He said with a smile while leaning down to see you from the window. He wanted to know more about you, you weren't like any other girl passing through. The way you swiftly stabbed the man, making it look easy as if it was nothing. The gleaming look in your eyes while killing the man in cold blood. It was more than enough to rile him up. And he couldn't wait to see you do it again.

You look at him with a small smile and put your finger to your lips. "Hmm.. Give me a reason why I should and ill consider it." He couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll make sure it'll be a night you won't forget~" you blushed slightly and looked away, trying to hide it. "Fine. I can be ready by 8." You cleared your throat, composing yourself.

He looked at you, amused. The smile on his face never leaving. "Well alright then darlin, we got ourselves a second date. Oh and I would plan on wearing something you wouldn't mind getting a little messy" he said in a deep tone. "See you then, Johnny" you said with a smile as you walked away.

He put the truck back into drive and drove off into the distance and you watched. As you made your way to your hotel room you noticed something was off with your door. The tape you had put on it was broken. 'Someone was in here' you thought to yourself as you look around you for anyone. You then reach for the handle and slowly turned it.

When you opened the door you noticed everything was in its place, nothing was taken. 'Thats good at least but who was in here-...' You stopped yourself as you noticed the man sitting in your chair. He had very light blonde hair, blue eyes and a dark blue suit on. He was messing with his hat when you walked in.

"Why hello there, Y/N. Its great to see you." He looked up at you from fiddling with his hat. You scoffed. 'Great a personal visit from the boss' you thought. "How can I help you Mr. Delouche?" You said while setting your purse on your side table. "I just came for your report, you did get the job done right?" He asked with a charming smile on his face.

"I just got back from getting it done. But why are you really here sir? It's not often I get personal visits from you." You said, curious as to why he's here. He stood up from his chair and put his hat back on. "Just came by to see how my favorite employee was doing. It's been a while since you've been to the office. I'm starting to think you're avoiding me." He walks around you, putting his hands on your shoulder.

You shivered at his touch. Yes, you were avoiding him. 'This man needs to learn how to keep his hands to himself.' You gave him a sharp glare as you pried his hands off of you. "I've just been focused on working. You know I've been the one bringing in all the money, how do you think I do that?" You asked with sarcasm lacing your voice.

His smile slightly faded and he gave you a warning look. "Who was that man you were talking to outside?" He asked in a serious voice. "Nobody, just a guy I convinced to give me a ride back. Not that it's any of your business anyways." You said.

He laughed a bit before grabbing your wrist tightly. You gripped his hand, wincing from the pain. "Don't forget that I own you. I can take everything away in seconds. Watch how you speak to me." He snarled. He was a charming guy and he seems friendly. But he is not that at all. "Yes, sir." You said, looking away from him.

He lets you go and adjusts his coat. "That's more like it." He smirked. "The real reason I'm here is because I need you to stay in this little town. Texas has a lot of opportunities and this place is the perfect cover." You looked at him confused. You've never stayed in a state longer than a week to keep you from getting caught.

"Sir, won't that be a risk? Small town or not?" You asked. "The best part about this town is that there are 2 cops here. There's a lot you can get away with. We were able to get you a permanent residence, we'll have movers bring all your belongings in the morning. Take care now" he said with a wave as he walked out the door.

You stood there in shock. You liked the place you lived in before, you didn't want to live here. The heat was miserable. "Great, this is what I get for selling my soul to the devil." You said to yourself with a sigh. You then head for your bed and plop into it. You thought about johnny and your date tomorrow to take your mind off of work. What did he have planned? After a while of thinking about your date with Johnny, you slowly drifted to sleep.

|| I'm so sorry this took longer than I said. Work and the holidays don't mix well when it comes to writing 😅 didn't help that I had major writers block for a good few days. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and stay for the next one. I also hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a happy new year in case I'm unable to post before then. ||
