a couple of months later...
You stood looking in your mirror with a solemn expression. You wore a wrap around your stomach that secured the healing from surgery. It had been almost three months since the killings and you were a key witness for the trial. You looked over your outfit which consisted of a white button-up, black dress pants, and a black blazer. You didn't think that the day would come when you had to help fight against someone you loved so much. Your lawyer told you exactly what to say over and over again. But what sucked the most was that your lawyer told you to lie... to say that you watched Stu kill Sidney and Tatum, that a little lie could lead to a good outcome for everyone.
You got caught up in the mirror before you could hear the front door open looking to see Randy walking in. He smiled gently at you walking over and standing just behind you. He wore a grey button-up with a pair of nice dress pants. The shirt was tucked in all the way around as was yours.
"You ready Y/N" He spoke simply as he looked at you through the mirror as you looked back at him through the mirror. You weren't ready. You didn't want to stand up there and lie about the boy you loved so much, even if he was a murderer...
"Yeah," You spoke in kind of a whisper as Randy wrapped his arm around your shoulder you were now turning to exit when the phone started ringing. You waved for Randy to keep going as you turned walking back towards the phone and picking it up.
"Hello Y/L/N residence" You spoke as you looked over at the door where Randy just exited.
"Hey hon" You heard the voice speak through the phone. A voice you hadn't heard in months.
"Stu?" You spoke with a small gulp as you stood pushing your nerves from your voice.
"Yeah, today's the day" He spoke simply as you nodded realizing he couldn't see you.
"What do you want Stu" You spoke as you rested your hand at your hip wanting him to get to the point of this phone call already.
"I don't want anything from you, I just missed your voice" He spoke as you felt an unwanted blush creeping up your neck and to your cheeks.
"Well, now you have heard it" You spoke as you were going to hang up.
"Wait wait wait" He spoke as you paused your motion listening.
"Please just tell them the truth today, and not this bullshit truth that these lawyers are telling you is the truth" Stu spoke as you bit your lip taking a deep breath.
"I gotta go" You spoke as you hung up the phone taking a deep breath as you were now exiting the house through the front door. You saw your father and Randy standing there looking in your direction with pitiful smiles as you returned a normal smile before walking down the stairs and past them. They had to have known something was up.
"I'll drive you" Randy spoke as he ran to catch up with you as the two of you got into Randy's car. Your father was an officer for the court that day so he needed to be there for a little longer than you and Randy would need to be.
"What's up pretty girl, you look shaken" He spoke as he started the car up looking over at you before he began to drive off. You looked at him with a look knowing he probably already knew who had called.
"Stu" He spoke in a bit of a tone that you didn't care for. Stu was his friend too, not just a murderer.
"Hey, watch your tone" You spoke looking at the boy as you were over this tone that Stu was such a terrible person.
"What? he's a murderer Y/N, he killed our friends" Randy spoke in a 'duh-you-should-hate-him' tone.
"We don't know that" You spoke to the boy as you looked over at him in annoyance.
