Mutual Feelings

Kaku sighed heavily as he finishes up his training for the day and leaves the training center. Today was the day that Jace was supposed to be back from his mission, if everything went smoothly that is. He was practically waiting for his friend just because he wanted to simply be around Jace and hangout with him. Kaku felt so strange and flustered inside, the way his heart started to beat faster and his stomach did little somersaults at just the thought of seeing Jace again. Over the years he's become close friends with the behemoth and they practically do everything together. Kaku is also starting to develop feelings for the big man, but he doesn't want to ruin the friendship that they already have so he tries his best to keep his feelings bottled up and buried deep down inside of him. It hurts sometimes because he knows that his feelings are futile and it's just one sided. He feels like his heart is being squeezed to the point of pain by invisible hands every time he is near Jace. He just wants to tell him so badly and get everything off of his chest. But Kaku is just too nervous to do anything about it because he is afraid that things might change between them. It would hurt even more if he confessed and got rejected by the guy that he likes so much.

As Kaku walked through the corridors of the base he could hear thunder rolling outside as dark gray clouds fill the sky. He furrowed his brows and sighs softly hoping the rain wouldn't prolong anything as it slowly started to pour. As he walked, he hears the front doors open and shut. Kaku turns and starts to walk towards the noise and stops when he sees Jace standing there soaking wet. The large man pulls his shirt off over his head and shakes the water out of his hair before taking off his boots. The second Jace pulls off his shirt Kaku couldn't help but stare. His mouth went dry as his eyes trailed along Jace's torso. He swallowed hard trying to push away his feelings of attraction to the large muscular man and averted his gaze as Jace looks up to make eye contact. His face flushed pink as he tried his best to keep himself calm and act normal around Jace. His stomach began doing flip flops as he walked up to the larger male. "Golly Jace it sure is raining cats and dogs out there. You need to come in and warm up a bit champ. If you stay like that for too long you'll catch a cold or something. You should go shower and put on some clean clothes." Kaku says as he tries his best not to let his eyes wander over Jace's tan, carved muscles. He's seen them plenty of times, hell the two have even showered together and Kaku never gets tired of it.

"Nah I'm good man, I'll just dry myself off." He says before using his demon demon fruit powers to ignite hellfire across his body and quickly make the water evaporate from his skin. Kaku squints and chuckles as he watches his friend become a walking fireball before the flames go away. Jace tosses his shirt over his shoulder and puts his hands in his pockets before heading to his room. "How have things been around here since I've been gone?" He rumbles out with a crooked smile and looks down at Kaku. Kaku walks alongside the larger man as he talks with Jace, answering his questions and sharing the recent events that had happened over the last couple of weeks that he was gone on his mission. "Things have been pretty boring since you left to complete your assignment. It hasn't been the same without you here to brighten things up and crack jokes at every chance you get. It's just not the same, you know what I mean? I miss having you around." Kaku replies and pauses as he thinks of what to say next. "I...uh, I really missed you, buddy." He stammers out and swallows hard before clearing his throat, his stomach flipping at his words and how it sounded. "Aw thanks man, I missed you too." He responds and wraps an arm around Kaku's shoulders for a moment before patting him on the back. "Well... I'm going to take a shower and then maybe we can hang out for a while, whatcha think?" Jace asks as they approach his bedroom door and the two walk in. Kaku flops down on the couch as Jace tosses his shirt into the dirty clothes and grabbed some shorts from his dresser.

He nods in response as he listens to Jace. "Yeah, that sounds like a good plan to me, champ." He replies as he props his legs up on the coffee table and crosses his ankles. He lays his head back and closes his eyes as he relaxes on the couch, his thoughts trailing to Jace once again as he pictures the taller man taking a shower. He could imagine all the water running over Jace's sculpted body and sliding down his muscles, it made him flush a little as he shifted in his seat. He was thinking of something else entirely that Jace was washing off and he tried to force those thoughts from his mind. But they just kept coming back even worse and he cursed under his breath as he could feel his dick start to throb a bit at his dirty thoughts. "Fucking hell..." He whispers to himself before opening his eyes and sitting up, his eyes wandering over to the bathroom door. A few minutes pass by and he heard the water turn off, his heartbeat quickening as he hears the knobs squeak shut and Jace open the door. Steam came pouring out of the bathroom as the taller male steps out with only a towel wrapped around his waist and water dripping down his abs and arms. Kaku tried to keep his composure and not let his eyes linger too long, but it was impossible with how sexy Jace looked and the fact that he didn't seem to care that he was almost naked. Kaku swallows thickly and his face turned bright red as he watches the bigger man dry off, his hands shaking slightly as he grips the edges of the couch cushion.
