charlie x Eugene (Mortal And A Ghost)

(Note hi this is Alex again how are y'all) 

Charlie kept mumbling to themself as Eugene came in to work I little later then normal. "Glasses, what happened normally your not late for work" he ask Eugene half teasing half actually worried. 

"No nothing's wrong Charlie" his voice sounded shakey "i'm ok" he continues 

"If you say so" Charlie responds they reaches over to Eugene grabbing his hand and pushing him to a chair even if you can't technically can't sit down as a ghost even a mortal one "no one today huh?" Charlie says as he walks over to Eugene body "glasses why are still here if no ones here you to get help" they asks

"Well I need to make sure your ok" he says to Charlie "remember we said we protect one other seeing as no one else can" he reminds Charlie his voice doesn't sound wobbly anymore as does so though "hey remember that joke I made about you keeping my keeping your keepsake since you had mine" Charlie says he says leaning on a wall " can't I still make that joke when you hold on to my scissor" 

"I mean it still a joke right?...." Theirs a awkward pause "right?" Eugene says looking at Charlie dead in the eyes "ha got you so bad" they say laughing a little "hey not funny" Eugene says chuckling a little with him. 

"But seriously what was wrong when you came in you sounded shakey" she says to Eugene "umm let's focus on patrols for now, where should we check first" Eugene says to Charlie "how about the one Hayden used to do" Charlie says to Eugene "yeah" he says looking down a little bit in sadness 

"Let's go" Charlie follows Eugene even holding on to him as he fly's. Soon they get on the ground and start looking out it wasn't day so Charlie wasn't wasting any energy. Charlie put his head on Eugenes shoulder as they walk around. everything was quite almost to quite. the earie unsettling kind of quite you would get when you were a kid stuck in a dark room. 

"Something feels off" Eugene says holding on to Charlie slightly and giving him his scissors. Charlie grabs on to the scissors "yeah no sh1t glasses" he says about Eugenes previous comment as they stand back to back with one other
