I sat in a chair near those strange women.
"I am Sameera cousin of Fahad", said a beautiful woman with a kind smile towards me. Her eyes smiled when she smiled, so it was hard not to smile back.
From this sentence, we can find one thing though, so "Fahad" should be the groom. They would only talk about the groom on these occasions. My sisters have told me.
"Masah Allah! You are so beautiful" she said again
I muttered a thank you.
"This is Femina, Fahad's sister" she showed another beautiful young woman who seemed to be in her 20s. She didn't smile at me. She just looked at me with judging eyes. And she didn't look friendly at all.
I smiled at her and said "Hello"
She only nodded.
"And she is Haniya. Fahad's mother" Sameera introduced the woman sitting next to Femina. She looked scary not in a "hideous kinda looking" scary but in a "she could see through your soul" kinda looking scary. She looked like she was in her mid-40s and seemed someone who was very strict and "you can't even kid her" kind of tough.
I gulped and mumbled "Hello"
She didn't even nod. Just looked at me like I was a criminal and she was the police.
"Do you cook?" she asked with no expression on her face
"Not much," I said, my heart beating
"He likes to eat fish and chicken. Better learn them"
"O.. Ok" I stuttered. Nothing after.
Sameera introduced another woman Aseema, her mother. She was also friendly. I wished I was married in Sameera's home instead of these scary people.
They asked me to go to the garden to talk with Fahad. Two of my nephews were with me. They were playing nearby and we could see my relatives on the balcony. They were not ready to leave us alone.
I don't know what I have to say. I just stood there waiting for this Fahad. There was a noise from behind, and I turned to look at the most handsome man I had ever seen.
He had this sun-tanned face, he would not be more than 25. He had sharp eyes and the most beautiful brown eyes. He looked like someone who was working out.
I stood there looking at him being nervous. He came near me and smiled. I smiled back.
"Hi. I am Fahad. I am working in a software company as a software engineer."
"Hi. Aafrin. Doing 11th grade."
"You are so beautiful"
What should I say about this? I just stared at my toenails.
There was a small chuckle from him.
"Do you have anything to tell me or ask me?"
"Is it ok if I continue my studies"
He looked at me and seemed like he was thinking.
"Yeah, but you shouldn't go to school. You can complete it in correspondence"
I fell quiet. I said ok.
After that, he left and I went inside. They all left in another half n hour.
Once they left, my aunty said, "Oh he is so handsome. These two will make such a cute couple"
My cousin said, "Yeah they are made for each other"
Everyone seemed happy. I felt happy thinking that it was best for me.
