Up high on a rock a lion did lay
With his young all around him at play
He sat in the sun with his head held high
His mane golden and eyes blue like the sky

He sat up and yawned loudly
Then proceeded to roar proudly
He was the king over all creatures
And no animal could beat his features

The animals bowed down to him
And he tore his prey limb by limb
He guards his land very closely
And at night his figure was ghostly

People came from near and far
They came walking or driving a car
They flocked all around his cage
Waiting to see him in his old age

He sat in the warm green ground
And the roar of the lion was the only sound
He sat there as he licked his lips
And people of all ages took video clips
