"P'Phayu, when will you have to go back to Bangkok?" Rain isn't sure he wants the answer to that, but he needs it. He is falling deeper for the alpha every day and he knows it is going to break his heart when the alpha leaves.
They are sitting on the sofa in Rain's small living room. Rain is snuggled against P'Phayu who has his arms wrapped around the omega.
"I have been thinking about that, how would you feel if I don't?" P'Phayu says.
Rain feels his heart speed up, but tries not to get his hopes up, "Don't go back to Bangkok?" he asks just to be sure.
"I have been eyeing a piece of land just outside of town that I could buy and build a house." P'Phayu says.
"What about your job?" Rain asks.
"Hmmm, I thought I might help you start your internet business instead." P'Phayu says, "I know a lot about the business side of things and that would leave you free to work on the creative side. If you want, that is."
Rain was filled with joy. He leaned up and kissed P'Phayu. "I want." He said with a beaming smile.
Sky has agreed to close his shop for the day and go out with P'Pai. They go to the mall to look around and end up having dinner at the nearby Korean restaurant that Rain has recommended.
"Sky, I think we should talk." P'Pai says, when they have ordered their dinner.
Sky braces himself. This is it, P'Pai is going back to Bangkok for good and he only brought Sky out tonight to soften the blow. He's probably even grown bored of the small town and of Sky.
"I have been expecting this," Sky says. He tries to keep his voice as emotionless as possible.
"You have?" P'Pai asks in surprise. Then what's your answer?" Is the alpha actually nervous?
Wait, answer? Somehow Sky feels like they are not on the same page. "What answer? If you think I'll close my shop and move to Bangkok..." Sky starts.
P'Pai holds up his hand, "No, wait I wouldn't ask you to do that."
"Then what?" Sky asks.
His eyes grow wide as P'Pai pulls a box from his inner jacket pocket. "I wanted to know if you would marry me." He says, opening the box to display the ring.
Marry? They have only known each other a couple months. Isn't that rushing things? They would be crazy to get married after such a short time.
"Yes," Sky hears himself saying.
"Dad, I'm not coming back to Bangkok," Pai says. He and Phayu are each at their own laptops having an online meeting with Pai's father. "I want to manage the branch of Tasty Treats here. I've grown fond of this little town."
"Fond of the town or fond of a certain omega?" His father asks with a slight smirk.
"Well, the thing is I've asked Sky to marry me, and he said yes." Pai says. There is a squeal in the background, apparently Pai's mother has been listening in.
"Son, that is wonderful news. Don't worry about the company, we will figure out something. Maybe Payu can..." Pai's dad stops when Phayu shifts uncomfortably at his name.
"Well, about that," Phayu says. "I am sorry to give such short notice, but I am resigning my position in Tasty Treats." Phayu hadn't come to this decision easily. He and Pai had pretty much taken Pai's parent's bakery and turned it into an international name brand. The company had been the most important thing in his life for the past few years. Now there was something more important. Well two things. "I'm going to help Rain get his internet business going."
