Isabella is loyal to a fault. In most cases, it's a blessing, however sometimes it is more of a curse than something to be appreciated for.
Isabella wouldn't say that her loyalty is something that she's very proud of, partially because she is blind in who she's loyal to, and often times this trait of hers has been exploited.
So, she's become a little paranoid in who she trusts, and in an effort to protect herself, she's become accustomed to keeping people at an arms length, only close enough to discover her at a surface, never letting anyone get too close, and never getting too close to anyone else either.
It's also the reason why, at the age of twenty two, she has only two friends, (not including her siblings and their company) and no boyfriend, not that she needs one.
The rest of the world (her mother) believe otherwise, but Isabella's grown immune to her mother's badgering, like all children.
The point is, Isabella is loyal, but she does not trust easily, not anymore, and her heart has been locked away with a million keys, each impossible to get a hold of, and she is also very, very, paranoid.
So when Lando, her brother's previous teammate, and also somewhat of a part time friend and complete nuisance to Isabella, tells her that his current teammate has what, a crush on her, she can't help but be suspicious.
